Do AI-Generated Blogs Still Rank with Basic Tweaks in 2026?

I’ve had decent luck by treating AI drafts like rough clay and shaping them with my own examples or stories. Search bots in 2026 seem to sniff out bland stuff pretty fast, but they chill out once there’s some real-life detail and a clear structure. I usually spend more time trimming than adding, and that alone bumps rankings and keeps them steady.

I’ve noticed my AI posts only start to move once I plug in my own stories or data, even if the draft looked decent on its face. Feels like Google in 2026 has a pretty good nose for filler text, so I treat AI like a rough sketch and then rewrite the parts that feel flat. The more it sounds like something only I could have written, the steadier the rankings hold.
