I have seen a lot of websites outside of USA having the DMCA policy which I don't know why and it's confusing to me whether should one based outside of USA also put the DMCA policy or write/rename it as a takedown Policy or maybe copyright policy since that person is not based in USA nor has his site hosted in usa?
Is it cool to host in Netherlands to avoid legal troubles?
I have heard EU laws are getting strict?
What do you guys suggest me to do?
SOME GUYS online are scary, they say if you use the DMCA policy in your website then it automatically makes you accept the USA law to your Website.!!
Now I am getting confused what should I do?

You should ignore it at 100%.

Check this "mini" list. Use njal.la for domains and offshore hosting outside from USA/UK you will be safe. Best locations is Switzerland, Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Hungary, China and Vietnam to ignore DMCA. Netherlands is going bad.

If you live in USA/UK you can get legal trouble due to laws of USA/UK, but if you live outside of that country you will be fine, if you don't get to bigger.

Yes i don't live in developed country like Europeans UK USA
Will Netherlands be fine then?

anonymous offshore hosting will make dmca irrelevant
Okay but then what should I put in the website for copyright policy?
Rename it as takedown Policy or let it be DMCA?
Because I have seen lots of websites using offshore hosting still have the DMCA policy page and notice

You can try maple-hosting if you are looking dmca ignore hosting.

My friend, what do you want from us? If you want to be DMCA-Friendly you should have it on your page to accomplish with futher copyright notices, if you support freedom of speech and freedom you shouldn't use any DMCA page.

It depends on yours, that won't prevent everything. Is right if you are dmca-friendly you should have less problems and less takedowns, but you still being target with dmca notices. So it doesn't matter at a certain point. It depends on yours final decision.

However, you need to choose if you want to support freedom of content, you should ignore all DMCA complaints, if you want only "sharing" for share... you just add a DMCA abuse form to takedown any links they want to you do it.

We can't make any decision by you, you are the owner not us.

My question is completely different
What should I write for the copyright policy in my Website?
Should there be a tab saying"DMCA policy"Or "Copyright policy"Or"Takedown policy"?
Since I am actually gonna sell the copyrighted content i am not sure what I should I put to be safe as I don't want to be under the united States laws.!
And DMCA is a USA law!!!It will make my Website automatically accept American laws as some other posts were scaring me,I am outside of the USA

Are you reading right? I replied that!! It's your final decision if you want to accomplish with DMCA you should have a page with that.

However copyright policy or DMCA is the SAME!!! DUDE.. I said that above, read that please.

If you don't have a page of DMCA you aren't supporting any US LAW. That is a US LAW, in Europe that is different and depends of the country you are and the country of your hosting server are.

DMCA/Takedown/Copyright is the same, This may vary in certains situations.

I said that dude, please read carefully the replies on this thread...

So I can have a page named DMCA/TAKEDOWN policy too?
I don't have problem with writing it as DMCA either but some people scared me if you have DMCA on your site then you can be sued with American laws.!!Not with your country or your server located country.!
Should i have my hosting in asia to be more safe?
I might be having copyrighted content which I will sell through a membership maybe?
What you suggest for this kind of business?
I want to be in grey area,Will a DMCA/takedown page will do the work or I also be needing DMCA ignore hosting in Russia or somewhere far away from the USA?
And what do you mean by "if you want only "sharing" for share."??

The American civil courts have zero power outside of US borders.

Yes, you might get sued, and you might lose, but that would happen with or without a publicly visible policy. And even if that does happen, it's an unenforceable judgement, because the American courts don't have jurisdiction.

If you have proper DMCA-ignore hosting and anonymous domain registration (actual anonymous registration, not just free domain privacy), then ideally your personal information shouldn't be available for the copyright holders to find in the first place.

I am outside of USA and not even in Europe
And what you mean by;
"And even if that does happen, it's an unenforceable judgement, because the American courts don't have jurisdiction"
?
It means they can't do anything with me If I am not in the USA?
Or?

It means they can't do anything with me If I am not in the USA?
That's exactly what it means. As far as your country is concerned (every country that's not the US), US civil judgements simply don't exist, except for rare and exceptional circumstances that you'll almost certainly never encounter.

Thanks for clearing it out,but can they deport or send to the USA or any other country for the case?
Does this even happen?
I am just worrying too much?
And what do you suggest for domain privacy?
Thanks for your help mate:)

Use a russia based server. I am using offshore servers for a while without any problem.
