Certainly! If you're looking to start studying for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam and have no prior experience in the field, here's a step-by-step guide to help you get started:
Remember that becoming a CPA is a significant achievement, and the preparation process requires dedication and hard work. Good luck with your studies!
- Understand CPA Requirements:
- Research the CPA requirements in the jurisdiction where you plan to become licensed. Requirements can vary by state or country, so make sure you're aware of the specific qualifications needed.
- Educational Background:
- Ensure that you meet the educational requirements. Typically, candidates need a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or a related field. Some jurisdictions also accept a combination of education and work experience.
- Select a CPA Review Course:
- Invest in a comprehensive CPA review course. There are several popular ones available, such as Becker, Wiley CPAexcel, Roger CPA Review, and others. These courses provide study materials, practice exams, and guidance tailored to the CPA exam content.
- Create a Study Plan:
- Develop a structured study plan. The CPA exam is divided into four sections: Auditing and Attestation (AUD), Business Environment and Concepts (BEC), Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR), and Regulation (REG). Allocate specific study time for each section based on your strengths and weaknesses.
- Set Realistic Goals:
- Break down your study plan into manageable goals. For example, set weekly or monthly targets for completing chapters, practice exams, and review sessions. This will help you stay on track and monitor your progress.
- Stay Consistent:
- Consistency is key when preparing for the CPA exam. Create a study routine that works for you and stick to it. Regular, focused study sessions are more effective than sporadic, intense cramming.
- Use Multiple Learning Resources:
- Supplement your CPA review course with additional learning resources. Explore textbooks, online forums, and educational websites. The more exposure you have to different perspectives and explanations, the better you'll understand the material.
- Practice with Exam Simulations:
- Familiarize yourself with the exam format by taking practice exams and simulations. This will help you get used to the types of questions asked and improve your time management skills.
- Stay Informed About Exam Changes:
- The CPA exam undergoes periodic updates. Stay informed about any changes to the exam content or format by regularly checking the official website of the relevant CPA examination board.
- Join Study Groups:
- Consider joining study groups or online forums where you can discuss concepts, share study tips, and get support from fellow CPA candidates. Engaging with a community can be motivating and helpful.
- Review and Adapt:
- Regularly review your progress and adjust your study plan as needed. Focus more on areas where you struggle and reinforce your understanding of key concepts.
- Stay Motivated:
- Remember your long-term goal of becoming a CPA. Celebrate small victories, and stay motivated throughout the process. The CPA exam is challenging, but dedication and perseverance will pay off.

Success comes with practice/testing without rushing for earning.

I really appreciate your explanation, on the other hand I see a lot of sellers selling their method in terms of CPA, I have tried it twice, but until now I have not seen any signs that using this method will work. I really don't understand how to play it..I am reading this thread and like always. Some % of people want to do all job for them, hold their hand and do for them.
You will not find any working CPA guide. Also nobody will teach you personaly because it takes time, not minutes, not hours but weeks and months. You don't know where to get traffic from. People will not tell you that, because if they know, they use it before others. Why they should tell you?
On forum you have everything for free. Just need time and IQ 100 to find out. On the marketplace you have tools and guides to speed up your work, but I doubt if you find any guide that teach anything working. All "money making" guides are published when it's start to die. Why? For money, why somebody should tell you or sell you "Make $100/day" guide instead making that himself?
CPA is hard. It's researching for methods, building traffic sources, reasearching and getting back when your method is dead.
People think it's easy when looking at some My Journey threads. They forget about knowledge and skills needed. Mostly gained for many years.
Because sellers are selling mostly dead or almost dead methods to make money. Only worth methods on the marketplace are technical issue resolvers. I don't belive in any "how to make $$$" ebooks or courses. Why? Because mostly people sell them for some funny money like $50 for "how to make $300/day", it's nonsense itself.I really appreciate your explanation, on the other hand I see a lot of sellers selling their method in terms of CPA, I have tried it twice, but until now I have not seen any signs that using this method will work. I really don't understand how to play it..
