[Case Study] 3 Month Amazon Affiliate Website | 400+$ in November

Does your domain name have the product name in it? i.e. phillips-television?

I have done everything manually. I have also invested about 500 usd to build PBN, however I use this PBN for many projects including amazon affilaite website.

Nice to see that your hard work and investment is paying off!!

Had a few questions

1. How long is your first page copy? (word length)

2. What is the word length of your top 5 competitors? (if you dont mind scraping the word count)

3. Did you use this guide for building your PBN? -how-build-your-own-pbn-under-275-15-domains (on blackhatworld forum)

4. If you didnt use the above guide is there another guide you used on this forum or another?

5. Also has your PBN been penalized in any way by the recent thin content notices google has been sending out in regards to those using PBN?

6. Do you use any techniques to hide your PBN footprints? ( I find this to be the most important area for building a network)

7. Lastly, I saw you had the logo on your web design template. I was wondering if you actually use a logo on your affiliate sites? The reason I ask is because I noticed that a lot more internet users are becoming hip on how affiliate sites work and how to spot them. And as a result that tend to avoid them. Plus the day is coming when a big news story breaks and affiliate marketing is put heavily on the mainstream which would further make marketing these site challenging. So I was wondering if you using a logo was possibly a way to make the website seem like a more legitimate entity when consumers crossed or when there was a manual review of the site by a third party for whatever reason.

And thanks for the advice

Hello Friend,

Did you ceated EMD domain, or is it authority website with no keyword on it's domain name?

Does your domain name have the product name in it? i.e. phillips-television?

No, I have stopped using EMD domains after Google EMD update that has penalized some of my websites. I use only brand names since than.

1. My home page contains 700 words
2. Competitors have something between 500-1500 words. Some of my competitors are online stores.
3. I have never seen this guide, however I have a few principles that I use when I build a PBN. First of all, the domain that I use should be indexed. When i buy it I create a website around the initial niche of the website, add logos, social signals, videos, images to the website. My homepage does not contain more than 5 posts, 3 of them only contain links.
so the content/link ratio remains normal. Each post that I publish also receives social signals. These are some common principles that I follow while building a PBN.
4. None of my PBN websites have been penalized by google and I hope that none of them will be penalized in the nearest future.
6. I block majestic, ahrefs and some other bots from accessing my websites using .htaccess
7. I always use custom logos and when I see that affiliate website is showing potential, I grow it to authority website with 100+ pages, publish interviews and add a lot of useful content. I have managed to create only one authority website so far but it is showing great results. The website from this case study is also showing a good potential and I may continue adding content to it in the nearest future.

I think that one day huge authority websites will brake small niche websites, however it will never break affiliate marketing. We should concentrate on creating authority websites around the niche we are interested in rather than building a lot of small niche websites, however it is a long term strategy. At the moment small niche websites work and I doubt that they will stop working in the next 3 years.

Found some good reading in this thread, thanks and good job!
Got a general question regarding amazon niche sites.
Are you and is it common to use GeoIP to redirect the customers to different Amazon domains?
I guess that people from uk want to buy from amazon.co.uk etc or how does it work when non-us customers gets redirected to amazon.com?

Such a high quality journey! There is so much to learn with it and for that I thank you! I hope for the best with your site :)

You can use Amazon Affiliate Link Localizer plugin for wordpress, however I do not do that because the majority of traffic comes from USA.

I prefer Eazy Azon (although it has a couple of issues on Genesis framework). I read some bad juju about Affiliate Link Localizer on BHW - I forget who - it was someone with good rep. I thank Danny or PHPbuilt.

1.Just wondering, how much do you spend per month maintaining your PBN?
2. Does each blog has its own dedicated IP?

Very nice case study. I have a few questions.
1) Did you use a expired domain for the amazon site?
2) How many links amazon links do you have per page?
3) Do all pages have amazon links?
4) Do you link-out to wikipedia/other sites in your niche?
5) Did you start this project in October or much earlier than that?
6) Do you have a tablepress product comparison page?
7) Do you use expired domains or dropped domains for the PBN?

Thanks in advance for your time and effort!

If you're building an Amazon affiliate site, EasyAzon will save a lot of your time and effort on creating affiliate links... And it's very cheap, I use it on all of my affiliate sites...

I spend about 25 usd per month to maintain the PBN.
No, I use shared IP, however with my next PBN I will definitely use dedicated c-clas ip for each domain.

1. No, I use expired domains only for PBN.
2. 2 links in review, 5 links in "top 5" page. I always try to minimize the amount of links on my pages. The less the better.
3. Not, about 60% of pages have amazon links.
4. Sometimes I link to wikipedia and other authority websites in the same niche.
5. I started the project in the end of August.
6. Yes, I use tablepress for comparison charts.
7. I use expired domains to build my PBN.

How did you send traffic from youtube? I have used youtube videos to send traffic to my amazon site and all the videos were deleted by youtube.

Niche journey, just starting my amazon affiliate size with aged domain i just bought.
