Can someone explain what's wrong with my Adsense Ads/Website

Hi. I'm sorry i have to ask this dumb question here...the pros might get offended but this is something i have to ask.
I'm a new member tto the forum so i don't know much.

Today, i had 450 Pageviews on my blog and about 10-15 clicks on the ads from google adsense.





The thing is, the 10 clicks, the credit i got from google adsense were all in cents. The question is how can i optimize the ads for more money to make at least $2.00 a click or more.

yes. its my website/blog. The website is a wordpress blog. at[moneymakinggroup]

The estimated CPC values are always lies. Often you find $5 CPC keywords. I've ranked these first position and get $0.80 CPC at best with handwritten content by myself so it's no spam BS. I heard PR effects CPC but Google are killing that off, wonder what they'll go to next?

Enable Text/Media ads not text only or image only unless your experiments show STRONGLY otherwise. Use these ad sizes: 336 x 280 or 300 x 600. What's your CTR? Make sure there's no horizontal scroll on mobile devices and streamline the ads.

Go on the Performance tab and check platforms. Which has the lowest CTR? Use CSS rules and div tags or paid plugins to display different ads and formatting to different device types.

I've been doing this for a year and a half... Progress is slow though as A/B testing can take weeks.

Post here tomorrow with the results. You should get at least double what you are now, likely more. Media only is almost always the worst option of all... So much so that Google makes it harder to even select that option at all now. Enjoy the $$$.

try playing around with the ad sizes and their placement. using the responsive ad type is pretty good if your not too sure what to start out with. as said above 336 x 280 is a pretty good option

Actually Responsive severely underperforms consistently. I have tried it myself and also there's posts supporting this on WebmasterWorld's AdSense section. It's also hard to set up on some sites. I don't know why this is but it's true.

Always use 336 x 280 and set it so it's allowed to show smaller ads in the space e.g. 300 x 250. This setting is on the tab where you enable Enhanced Text Ads etc. It will increase ad slot competition.

agreed i just recently switched from responsive to 336 x 280

I have also experimented with Ads and found 336X280 and 300X250 best converting... Earlier I only used Text only ads but now I am using Text & Media option because it is converting better these days plus more options... Right now I am not using any paid plugins and current options are limited with my theme or plugin but I don't make big in this front so I am not giving it much time... But it's true unless you experiment with ads size, type and position you never know which one will convert better for you... There is no fix rule for every site...

I had one site which use to convert 40-50% that's huge (not adsense)... I created another site in same niche got roughly 10% conversion... Then I modeled it on my most converting site got some improvement but still not good enough... I even tried with same content and design still hardly 15-20% so not good enough... Then I tried few different design and landing page and finally got roughly 20-25% conversion which was best for second site...

This experiment taught me there is no fix or general rule and you have to experiment with your site to get best out of it.

Follow the Adsense heat map and place your ads where users focus on the most within your website. Enable text and image ads and disable all those low paying ad channels in your Adsense account.

Search for 'increase Adsense earnings' on Google. You'll find many helpful guides on the subject.
