For twitter you will have to find an angle to gain an organic following first and then from there you can start promoting your stuff. If you're just linking your blog and auto posting to Twitter it won't do much for you.

Yes, we do use Twitter automation for quite a long time and it's giving us a nice result for affiliate income.
