Do you guys workout or lift? What's your inspiration or goal?

Was in high level competitve sports in college - started university, ate too much, played on the internet too much, became fatfuck.

Left university and am now starting to train for a marathon with friends.

My goal is to run the marathon without stopping next year :)

My goal is too but it will be a year or two before i reach that 20 minutes of running gets me exhausted ...good luck with your goal thou

I do a little bit of exercise. Ride my bicycle in the morning for 10-15 minutes, do some other basic exercises, lift dumbbells a few times (got few at home). That's about it. My body is different though & I am not the type who get fat. I am one of those who can't get fat no matter what they eat.

@NobelNerd Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Yes, we do work a lot sitting at one place. I have started to exercise on my own. Will hit the gym soon. Cheers mate.

What about diet? I think 10-15 cardio is great if you maintained your body from start

That is a great goal.

I don't "lift" but I do use some weights as part of my regular training. I have been working my way up to doing my first triathlon in the new year.

My inspiration is my kids. I never really took exercise particularly serious until the Mrs got pregnant and now it is something I am always thinking about.

Yeah I'm doing it for me, but I can see having kids would motivate you so much! Tell me how the triathlon goes! I've always wanted to do one, maybe after i get this marathon out the way I can try swimming again :)

3 meals a day. Some days I eat eat meat, some days it is vegetables & so on. I keep it mixed. Not junk food though - All of the food is home cooked. I am also using a food supplement to increase my weight. I have to keep an eye on my diet to make sure I maintain a healthy weight to avoid getting underweight. Its only this year that I have managed to start looking just OK - Otherwise I was really skinny.

As someone who used to class themselves as being in the "I can eat all I want and not get fat" I can state that the reason for this is that you are not eating as much as you think. Most of my life I would eat what I wanted but I just didn't want a huge amount despite stuffing myself a lot of the time it just wasn't a huge amount.

As I have gotten a bit older and had more time to eat I have started bulking up, luckily I started eating more when I was beginning to do more exercise so it hasn't all been fat.

All I wanted to say is don't get too complacent with your ability to eat what you want as what you want and the amount of it may change for the worse in future.

You're so blatant. :D
I have been diagnosed fatty liver 3 years ago. The doctor was astonished at this cause I don't drink.
It time for me take more sports.
Yes ..In start it is a real pain for a while but after a while it becomes real fun good stuff starts happening in life

Don't get me wrong, I am just talking about doing a sprint triathlon, not like an iron man or anything lol. I intend on starting with realistic goals and then smashing them.

When I complete it I will be sure to post a self indulgent "lookey what I accomplished" type thread :)

Workout! I used to do street workout for about a year(after a break-up), stopped two months ago because of partying but over-all I recommend psychical exercise. It connects your mind, body and soul. Its just great and I'll get back to it soon.

What's your inspiration or goal?
Inspiration? Zyzz and Jeff Seid.
Goal(s) are:
  1. To have clothes fit me really well
  2. To connect with interesting people in the same area
  3. To look good naked
  4. To draw attention wherever I go
  5. To be satisfied with my looks
  6. To be inspiration to others
  7. To prove myself that I can anything I seriously put my mind into
  8. To have a healthy, successful and fulfilling lifestyle
I hope you're going to reach what you're striving for!

I'm the opposite, If I don't eat 5-6 times and work out I get skinny as fuck.

Actually I am doing excercises every 2nd day. One day to make a complete body workout at home which takes me around 45 - 50 minutes. The next day I am using to rest and to have my muscles grow. As you might know the muscle grows in the period of rest and not during the workout as many people thinking. Doing this since a longer time now and I can tell you that I have a much better body then Brad Pitt in the movie Fight Club. Without any steroids or this kind of toxic shit. Besides that I am watching what food I take to me. Try to avoid meat and drink lots of water. Only water actually. No white bread, no sugar, no wheaten. Just good biological vegtable stuff and massive water. As a protein shake and gainer I am using Hemp Protein. This gives me 50g protein / 100 g value. And comes from nature hemp seeds. Thats at least my personal "secret formular" in order to stay super strong and healthy in real life. Also I could not sell Hercules without being a small Hercules myself. :D

Haven't eaten wheat or dairy for last 4 years, quit drinking, only eat organic (when possible). Lost 60 pounds, put back on 30 in muscle, and am stronger than I've ever been. It took me a long time to realize how much food was affecting me, and once my diet changed I saw incredible results. It was really tough, but now I don't even think twice about it.

I work out 4-5 days a week for about 45 minutes each day, mostly with core exercises and dumbbell stuff. I slack on squats & deadlift bc of some old injuries. I have a counter-height desk now that I can stand in front of while working, and that helps a lot actually for energy levels and for low back stuff.
