Well, this is about a week in to the massive ordeal I've been put through, thanks to the shady business ethics of justhost.com.

I'm here simply to warn everyone, to NEVER use their hosting services, sure it's a great price, but when they start lying to you about why your sites go offline for 20-60 mins, and claiming it's your fault and not theirs, you'll decide to change hosts, probably to hostgator.com, well you're going to want your domain name(s) transferred too, and they'll lie and make up literally any excuse to not transfer your domain, in fact this happened to me,

Below this text is their listed hosting prices.

Below this text is a screenshot of the chat I had with them discussing transferring my domain, and they've falsely advertised, if you notice the prices listed above, and the ones they told me in our little chat.

Their lies should be enough for you to take my word that they are a very shady hosting company, full of dirty practices, and the fact they're lying to me saying I need a hosting account to renew/transfer my domain, we ALL know that's a lie. I won't even bother going into more detail.

You have been warned.

That is why you never get a domain name through a hosting company. Find a domain company like GoDaddy, NameCheap, ect. and use them for all your domains. Then you can go to whatever hosting company you wish, whenever.

Your site should rarely ever go down. Our servers never go down, never had any issues. Unlimited everything. I bet that cheapo $4 plan you posted has limits that I would cap in one day. You have to be cautious when choosing, just picking the cheap shit right away will always lead you down a bad path.

just transfer it and renew it....where is the problem ?

be careful with GoDaddy they can take your domain, this never happen to my because no one reported my to them but I know that they have the worst hosting.

are you referring to the shown 3.45$/month ???

This is the price you pay when you sign up for 2-3 year i think, if you pay monthly for hosting its the price he gave you..

I have good experience with justhost they host some pharma sites for me without a wimp.. Hostgator wanted all kinds of paperwork from me and even the credit card scanned and passport copy, such a bullshit

hostm2 is also good and painfree

register domains with name.com or namecheap..

LMBO, why would anyone buy dedis with a deal like that? The only servers that don't go down and don't have issues are the ones not running. You can't go down if you're never up.

If there was a real FTC agency in this Country nobody could advertise such obvious BS information sucking in noobs that don't know better. Host resources cost money; ram, hard drive, processor and bandwidth are not FREE.

Don't walk but RUN from anyone advertising unlimited anything. There is no such thing as unlimited and if they're lying to you on the front end then why are you surprised if they lie on the backend? YOU CHOSE to do business with the liars right from the beginning so don't come here and cry about it.

I host also and don't advertise anywhere because I don't need the headaches of attracting $4 customers wanting a $200 service. Any reputable hosting service will not advertise unlimited resources. I work with the largest datacenters in the Country and not a single one of them offer unlimited resources so how could I or anyone else offer it?

Shared hosting or even VPS is about rolling the dice. You get on a bad neighborhood and the service sucks. You get on a good neighborhood and the service is great. You can have great service until a bad neighbor moves in and spoils all your work. It's like moving to an apartment and not knowing the neighbors. You commit to move in and sometimes it works and many times it don't. Sometimes it works until the landlord lets some trash move in and then you need to leave. Sometimes YOU piss off the neighbors and the landlord gives YOU the boot. That's the life of shared hosting. That's why serious professionals move to dedis as quick as possible so they own the neighborhood and know their work will stay for years and is not in jeopardy because the landlord lets some trash move in or decides one day you need to move all your shit out and start over.

Anyhow, good luck on the next roll of the dice.

well. i am hosted with justhost and the only complain i have so far aboutthem is that they are extremely commercial trying to sell us everything they can lol..

regarding your domain. that is how they work... if the domain is expired them you need to renew it before transfering it if im not mistaken... but companies like this offer only domains with hosting.... so for you to have it again you need to buy hosting again.. i think...

that sucks man. I have a website that is hosted with justhost.

all said here justhost are good people but the fact is they try to sale your everything they can thats business

As with anything, there are always physical limits. We offer unlimited, meaning we are not restricting you. If someone outgrows their shared hosting, we move them to a larger server with more room for them at no extra charge. btw - I am not justhost lol, and we charge more then $4. Our servers are from one of the most reputable companies in this biz, and while things may go wrong, they are fixed quickly.

My site(s) have not gone down that I have noticed for at least a year. Always fast, plenty of storage and bandwidth, never a problem. That doesn't mean it hasn't went down at all, just saying I have not had one single issue. If it did go down, it was like a little fart that the end users didn't notice.

I'm not crying, I realize I made a mistake in dealing with them, but do note on the frontpage where it says "No setup Fees" and they tried to charge me 20$, I'm simply warning people not to do business with them.

just transfer it and renew it....where is the problem ?

The problem was, they were refusing to assist me in anyway unless I had a hosting account with them, and I know they can't do that, and as a result I had to contact the company they resell for, Enom, and alert them of their shady business ethics, I will be getting my domain back regardless, like I said before, I'm just trying to turn my bad experience into a learning experience for those few of you who don't know better.

Hostgator has shut down some of my sites as well, basically you can't expect "unlimited" on shared hosting. Read the fine print. According to hostgator I was taking up to much CPU time.

According to the iCann regulations i'm entitled to transfer my domain, and I know enough about hosting and all that to know that I don't need a hosting account to do it, this is just their way of ransoming my domain.

Yeah they try to sell you everything, they also lie to you, in multiple ways, blame their technical screw ups on your site, saying that the reason why your sites go offline for anywhere between 20-40 minutes at around 4AM EST like clock work, but the funny thing is, when i changed to hostgator, the "problems on my end" seemed to disappear, meaning justhost lied, again.

Here's some helpful info http://www.webhostingreviews.com/just-host-reviews.htm, check that link out, they have more reviews than any other company there, and about 90% of them are all bad.

The end of all my ends: While some hosting companies look like angels for half of us, they seem as if thay are devils for the rest.

My main business is web hosting, and we offer domain registration for all customers. That being said, you are not allowed to transfer brand new domains, renewed domains, or domains that are expired for a set amount of time due to iCann rules.

I am pretty sure that I am the last of a dying bunch of shared hosting companies that DONT offer the awesome deal of UNLIMITED everything. It has always been an ethics thing with me personally. Everything has its limits in life, everything.

I decided to give justhost a try Iam in the process of transfering my domain .So far so good. I paid 119 for 4 years cant really beat the price.
