I would say Ahrefs, which is used for backlink analysis , URL rankings , competitive analysis and Historical Backlink Data Analysis.

Both semrush and ahref can be used as a effective backlink checker.
i recently used semrush, so i suggest you to use semrush. because by using this semrush premium options you can easily find competitors backlinks, Keywords Rankings, organic research, paid research, give suggestions for how to create seo friendly contents and we can easily perform a site audit.

To just throw my own thoughts in here, you need a combination of tools. SEMRUSH, Ahrefs at least and then manually check your site with Screamingfrog.

Screamingfrog, deepcrawl etc are the best for looking at onsite. The others miss so much.

Ahrefs: for backlinks and keywords, and competitor analysis
Semrush: For ad spying
Woorank & sitechecker.pro: for onsite analysis (I havent tried screaming frog but everyone says it is good also)
