ATTN BH Studs: N00b Needs advice on SE Rankings!

Hi. I'm new to it all and would like some advice. I've tried some aggressive marketing techniques, actually more blue/gray hat if you will. Ok so I got a blog up and ranking for some very obscure words in under 2 weeks. I have no idea if this is good or bad. But in 2 weeks I've got about 200 uniques - total.


I was hoping by now I would be pulling at least 50-100 uniques/day.

What I would like to know is what I can do to increase my search engine rankings FAST.

WHAT I HAVE DONE SO FAR
1)I've done some really good (I think ) text book seo - right title tags, keyword rich urls, h1 tags, website has privacy policy, cookie policy, etc., etc. Most of what I have tried has been SMO. I've got about 20 SB backlinks, some from the ******** services.

2) I also payed a foreign company to write about the website LINKING back to me in 2 pr3 websites

3) I also got a newly set up .edu student blog and put some anchor text rich links in there, linking to this site I am trying to get ranked better

Basically the only other things I can think of on a checklist would be:

-use some kinda blog commenting software to try to get more blog comment backlinks (good ones where I leave a thoughtful comment....I've tried about 20 but none show up in the search engines)

-Directories

-Buy some anchor text links from some kinda offshore company (
cause it is cheap)


-Mass article submission (50+). I can reword the same article and probably get around duplicate content.

Can someone please provide some helpful tips for improving my SE rankings? Also, I have links that show up in Yahoo but not google - is this going to take a while?

The website has very solid, well researched original content but my main issue is traffic. I want to get 100+ visitors/day within the next 7-14 days if possible. Right now the site is getting about 25 visitors a day.

you think 2 pr3's linking to you is useful? wow since when is that fucking blackhat... blog comment spam is ok for traffic but useless for rankings for the most part, go read where the buy viagra serps get their links from and whore those out the same way they are, come on, weak!

What you're saying is utterly useless. I'm asking for sound advice. You could have saved the keystrokes with these comments.....

think its useless? have a look where they are getting their links... its sound advice, if your looking for blackhat methods, go trawl the highly competitive niches and look at where they get their links!
