Attempts to quit smoking...

So looking for other methods to quit smoking, also it could blackhat methods :D

Thank you for all attention :)

that was funny :)

I know how you feel, I've been smoking for 30 years and I'm really starting to feel it now, I quit with patches and that was good for a few months, but like you say, you get pissed about something and it's an excuse to start again.

I often think about quitting, I'm doing ok online and making enough to work from home quite comfortably and I often think "What's the good of making this money if I'm just gonna keel over in 20 years time (or earlier)

SO I'm gonna quit too, I think the warning about emphysema is a good one, I don't want to go that way. I'm gonna use one of those inhalers, you get a good nicotine hit from them.

Just hinking about quitting smoking has me reaching for another cigarette! Agggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

I quit after many years of smoking using alot of Nicotinnel/Nicotrol nicotine gum. I almost got addicted to the gum. Then one day I thought long and hard about what someone mentioned to me about the movie "the matrix" and tied addicttion to what that guy was saying about "there is no spoon", and I quit all nicotine. That was years ago, I havent had the desire to touch a single one since. The onlyt advice I can give is keep trying, and if you use any of the gum or patches- do not use generic.

I only started smoking several months ago, but I don't do it regularly I keep it under control, on a party night I can smoke several and several, and then I wont for a week or more. I know its not 8 years of smoking, but I do get the urge to smoke occasionally but I find it as simple as just not doing it. You control your body's movement, don't walk up to the counter and dont buy a pack of cigarettes.

Like I said I'm sure its a lot tougher when you've been going that long but its not like you blackout and wake up to a pack of cigarettes all smoked.

I smoke e-cigs only, they are kinda dorky looking but well worth it I think. It is still a habit though and maybe a worse one because you can smoke it where ever you like

Hi,

I stop smoking one and half months ago. First week is the worst. And now I dot remember them at all.

I just said, ok, I will just stop. And I will invest all money what I was spending on cigarettes in my online business.

And thats it. No magic. No books. No E-cigarettes.

I wish you all the best!!

I've been smoking this 7th grade and im on college now. I tried to stop a couple of times. I only lasted 2 days without smoking, but the craving is like im a vampire having to get blood for the living. I need to see those videos that made you stop for 1 year. I really do need to stop. I was a model back then and now no one likes me anymore because my skin went darker and my eye bags went deeper and darker. My allergies are worst than before. If you guys got any advice, please give them to me. Would pretty much appreciate it.

Same here.
I'm chewing Nicorette btw as in now while im typing.
I tried to stop smoking so I can concentrate on IM. ( I spend a lot of time going out to smoke since I am not allowed to smoke at home LOL)
Nicorette 4mg could be good
Cheers

Hi to all BHW members. This is my first thread, si if you see some mistakes of my English, please understand me, thanks.

So i started this thread, because i wanted to know how were you trying to quit smoking and also tell about my attempts.

I`m smoking for 8 years and my first attempt was 4 years ago, when i read Allen Carr ebook "Easy Way To Stop Smoking". So the result was 1 year no smoking, that was great, after 1 year i was got angry by one person and had to smoke one cigarette to relax, then other one and other... And i`m a smoker now again.

Second attempt was rereading book from the begin 6 month ago, no smoker for 3 days, one evening a little a beer, "wualia" i`m smoking again.

Third attempt 2 days ago, i found a DVD relision of Allen Carr "Easy Way To Stop Smoking". so i watched, 4 hours no smoking and again i was got angry, smoking again. I`m smoking1i pack of cigarettes for 1 day.

I know that a lot of people are using "willpower", but with this one i have failed.

So looking for other methods to quit smoking, also it could blackhat methods :D

Thank you for all attention :)

Well It's not that when you hear Alen Carr you aren't allowed to smoke. Try his book, in the first pages he says something like "This is important: While you are reading, smoke cigarettes, in fact light up one right now!" And so I did. But while reading (it's divided into days) you start to realise you don't need to light one up. I could give you the book, just pm me

Oh and a quick sidenote : I HAVEN'T LIGHTEN A CIGARETTE FOR 9 MONTHS NOW AND I DON'T WANT TO, i DON'T NEED TO. Before that I was smoking 3 and a half packs A DAY for a very long period. Take my word for it

The best way to stop smoking is to wind yourself up against smoking:
- Find out why are you smoking! (I am sure there is no good reason)
- Find in Big G (images): keyword = "smoking lungs and healthy lungs"
- Think about the money you spend! (Find out how you can spend it in a positive way: PPC, PPV ...)
- Do not smoke when you feel like you need to. Do something else instead.

And Good luck
PS: I smoked for 27 years. Quit from the 19th of March 10
Side effect: I caught some weight

No, i`m not offering any e-cigarettes.

spollacs: If you haven`t read Allen Carr book yet, you could try, it will help you, but do like instructions says, if you failure, it won`t help you later like for me.

accelerator_dd: Like i wrote in my first post, it worked for the first time only for me.

I need to try and quit, not only because its bad for your health, but also because im paying almost $11 per pack. $11 x 31 days =$341/mth! Thats a freakn car payment im smoking :(

so I'm at this point in life where I just decided to not buy anymore cigarettes, and BOOM I visit bhw and see a topic about it. That must be a sign.

I have been smoking for most of my life since I was 17, was able to quit for 2 years. Now I'm 27 and still craving for it. My personal experience is that the best way not to smoke is NOT TO BUY THEM. Its easier to not buy them then not to smoke them.

You can use the following methods for not buying:

- don't have any money. (this one works 100% of the time)
- use the inner-power of you lazy lifestyle: convince yourself that your so lazy that you don't have the will to go to the shop and buy a pack
- do sports so you don't have the time to go buy them
- buy fruits, sweets and chewing gum when in a shop. focus on the product your buying, so you don't have to look at the expo of cig packs...

I smoked 2 packs a day for about 7 years and quit cold turkey. That was almost 20 years ago. I ate a lot of chopped up carrots and slept. I was on vacation at the time so I had plenty of time to sleep.

I pretty much quit cold turkey. I bought 2 weeks worth of patches, used full patches for 4 days, cut a few more days worth into halves and then quit.

like zilla said too, quit doing the things that make you smoke. I quit going to the bars for months. I literally had no life for about 6 months. It was well worth it though.

If you really want to quit you will. I never believed that statement till I finally quit. you have to want it, period.

Find something that will get you over the withdrawls that first week and then just QUIT!

Good luck :)

I smoked 2 packs a day for about 13 years and tried several times to quit no luck. Finally a friend convinced me to try accupuncture and I have not smoked a single cigarette since, that was nearly 2 years ago.

Quitting really depends on you. Some people can just quit cold turkey, others can't. I can't imagine any info product helping.

Patches and gum were worthless for me. I often found myself chewing a piece of nicotine gum while smoking a cigarette, so no good there.lol
