Europeans have become gutless slaves
These rules are meant to block competition, disguised as something else.
If you compete against a big guy they'll simply call their legal dept and crush you. If your competitor has friends in high places, they'll make a phone call and destroy you.
I think this will benefit larger companies that are able to comply but really crush startups and entrepreneurs who do not have the money or resources to comply. It's a sad day for the EU.
Beyond this, it seems like the EU is pulling further and further away from the rest of the world with this law, the GDPR, and its antitrust actions against Facebook / Google. At this point it might as well create its own Internet.
Its a big boost to people outside of the EU since they will be facing less competition.
That's why the US was getting crushed by its competitors for certain years I won't disclose.
It's people from every non EU country that will benefit, not just those in the U.S.
