anyone saw major changes on G today?

If its scapebox thats making people drop from serps, then guess we can all just scrapebox our competitors out of the serps?

Thats why i dont think it will be something as simple as that, its got to be a combination of factors.

Its not Xrumer its not Scrapebox a Backlink never hurt your site!!!
Its just profile / blog comments count now less.
 
omg.. i am from 44th page to 20th page.. for a really big keyword. I thought its for me alone but after seeing this thread i think they are updating their algorithm either on dupecontent or profile links or blog commenting??

What others have said - this can't have to do with SB or profile links, else Google is handing us the way to tank our competitors. I'm guessing it's all content related. I haven't noticed any significant changes, maybe a small bump on a few kw's but my content is all original. Google's cleaning house.

Scrapebox didn't cause this mess,lets be honest there are blogs out their spammed to f*ck it's easy for google to dismiss or even penalise every site linking from it.If I were google I'd do exactly that.Scrapebox can find decent sites to manually post on,yes they need approved thats the point.
I personally think all autoapprove blogs(and I can't see google having probs finding them with 100's of links to viagra etc) will be totally dismissed.Links on sites with NO comments possible e.g using PAD methods will get alot more powerful.I just got a site sandboxed,e.g all pages but homepage show on results it was a first page to no page,no biggie another one of mys sites took over,point is now you are seeing google acting on spam,quite right as well.All your automated tools are still highly useful and I think scrapebox has just massively jumped in value as it shows pr etc etc.
The site I got sandboxed I know why,it has a daily growing amount of links from one site,thats not good.Prob is I have no idea how to remove it,thing is I got unlucky scrapebox fired a sureshot there lol.I love scrapebox it is both whitehat and blackhat.
 
Nobody will ever learn a thing about Google and SEO if they just put everything off as the "Google Dance", come on get real and actually dig deeper into the problem rather than be the first one to yell "G DANCE OMG"...
 
bit pissed off here. had a clients website which is 6 years old and has been an authority site on a niche for most of that time.

site is completely white hat, manually built backlinks by my own hand, no profile or even slightly spammy links, good on site seo, completely unique content, over 500 pages.

back in november for no reason what so ever the site dropped to page two for three very lucrative key phrases. I've fought for two months since it dropped over xmas and jan to get it back onto the first page. two weeks ago it hit top spot once again and even in the small niche was getting over 300 uniques a day.

this morning, ironically 24 hours after a meeting with the client where i showed him what the hard work over the last two months had achived and BAM, fucking google have bumped the site back to page #2 again and the uniques have dropped from over 300 to less than 40 today.

For no reason. i'm pretty fucking annoyed. need a beer. :(

Moreover I cannot see this "big" update in Germany at all. i checked a few forums and just could not find a single thread about this "movement" normally there is always a huge discussion going on.

I've exactly this strategy. Using whitehat page, with good (and a lot) content but using blackhat seo techniques because of my niche is impossible to master otherwise. Created links in different ways like linkwheel, articles, but I use mainly automated profile backlinking and faster indexing via RSS feeds. Yesterday I had a huge drop of some of my important keywords, others were not affected. Today it was a little bit better. I think we have to show what happens in the next days.

The first one shows me at number 9 and the second one shows me at number 13.

Anyone have an explanation for that? Different Data centers maybe?

The site I am referencing has 14,000 backlinks mostly from blog comments and my number one competitor shows 400 or so links in a majestic seo report? Maybe blog comments really don't count anymore?

Which makes me think we know nothing about SEO and Google :D

bit of reserach - possibly related to the drop of my clients website. The site dropped on thursday from #1 on page #1 to about #5 on page #2 for a major keyword. This is the same drop I saw back in novmeber having been the authority site for the niche since 2005. Two other keywords have dropped by the same or worse since thurday too. I've studied webmaster tools and backlinks since then and logging into webmaster tools tonight i've noticed that *all* the imbound links have been removed from the section "who links to you". this may or may not be significant, although its damn fishy. I'm praying that they'll all reappear next week sometime and its just a google dance and reindex as i've spent 5 years manually link building with excellent partners within the niche.

maybe something for others to check and see if its happened to them too.
