anyone saw major changes on G today?

one of my sites yesterday drop in ranking but today I see it returned back and even one spot higher. I thing google do some algorithm changes and at this time rankings dance for many sites.

Same here!0,zero back links in G**gle for autoblogs!
But one site,with unique content,backlinks created same way like those for autoblog,shows!Must be the content!

Just checked again,backlinks are back!

I noticed a drop in rankings for sites which had majority of links coming from bookmarking and profile links. So I guess Google is discounting such links. My other sites which had links coming from various sources were not affected. I also had to verify some sites again in Google webmaster, but I didn't notice any drop in traffic for these sites.

I have many client website positions I'm monitoring and I can put out some stats:

1. a site with unique content and profile backlinks which are mixed also with white hat back links dropped from position 1 to position 3.

2. sites with spinned content and profile backlinks dropped from mid page 1 to mid page 2 (3 sites)

3. 3 Exact match domain with only profile backlinks disappeared from SERPs

4. websites with unique content and and white hat links raised in position, one site from position 2 to position 1 and another from page 3+ to mid page 2.

5. many websites with non unique content (syndicated content) were not affected at all.

6. this is the important part, websites with newly built profile and SB comment links got hit the most, majority of them dropped by 5 pages, in contrary to websites which their profile backlinks were done a while ago which dropped only by a few positions.

I noticed this a few days ago... Keep reading that it's the infamous G dance, so I wouldn't worry unless you really lose some rankings, just make some content changes and hope for the best.

I had 2 days of really lowered rankins but now my site is number 2 and 3 for my main keywords they were at 12 and 18

What I personally think it is. I have over 250 sites. Quite a few are autoblogs Most are keeping their rankings but the one thing I did notice. They all have a ton more backlinks than they did before. 3 sites for example are aged domains and I did do quite a bit of backlinks to them. They all showed around 9k backlinks than all of a sudden last 2-3 days They went from 9k backlinks to One has 24k backlinks another has 18.5k backlinks and another has 32k backlinks. Why the sudden increase in indexing the backlinks? I haven't done anything out of the norm for getting backlinks indexed.

Personally I think that's what it is. But like someone else had said gotta do testing testing testing to find out for sure if that's exactly it. i've got a couple EMD's that i've put and a couple non EMD's that I put up as well All going for the same keyword(s) So of course i'll be testing that as well to see what's going on.

I think that this has to do with profile links.

EMD Site with unique content from #1 to #199 had only (90%) profile links. But this happened to me at 26 DEC 2010. Now the majority of profile links disappeared from webmaster tools. Last three days is coming back slowly after adding some new content. It is at #30 now.

Other EMD sites that I have didn't suffer at all, but these are having all kind of links (comments, bookmarking, WEB2.0) and not only profile links.

My sites that was ranking based on profile links get hit in 5-10 positions..

But my others sites that i used blog networks are fine.

I noticed a huge rise a few days ago as well. One site went from pos #325 to #75.

Ranked #2 with an EMD within a week doing $50-$100 a day. Exactly on the 9th of Feb, ranking went from #2 to #400++. Now it's sitting there collecting dust.

Been doing this for a while and this is something unusual that hit the site so fast but remain indexed. We're still adding backlinks to it and started adding more articles to the site.

The rest of my sites with at least 10 articles remained unaffected.

my #1 keyword stayed number one but everything else has dropped like a ma fawka.......although sales have been increasing 30-40 keywords have dropped i thought it was a google dance but it may just be that PR update and i've built sites with articles and profiles with web 2.0s ......and more profiles than ever before

Yes saw negative changes today, will wait it out see what happens, I thought it might be because of scrapebox ?

If scrapebox caused all this mess,then the owner can be proud !He/she really put G**gle staff to work!But i really dont think that SB is the cause or mass comments.We just need to wait!

But today i noticed something unusual on my webmaster tool. For one of my site all linking sites has vanished from webmaster tool. Thats pretty weird as i used to lots of backlink. Dnt know if its due to google's algo change bt some big changes is going on
