Any advice for learning marketing?

After spending a couple of weeks DM-ing, posting random automated things on socials, and auto-blogging I'm getting a greater sense that I have no idea what I'm doing. In the B2B SaaS space and I have about 3 customers all from 50 DMs I've sent so far. Trying to think about traffic to site as tapping in to different water sources but it hurts ma brain. Any successful solopreneurs on here have advice they can share?

Start with fundamentals, study real campaigns, and practice by testing strategies on small projects.

Xiao, your name sounds familiar. Are you running the "Grand Casio" campaign?
 
Do you have a website? You could also consider working with paid traffic and optimizing for SEO to drive more targeted leads.
 
I think you should learn about Facebook advertising, the market is very large globally. And maybe apply to a company that does it and try it out first.
 
Choose whether you are mainly going the SEO path (ranking a website) or driving traffic via social (engage with communities) to get customers. If it's SEO, to jog your brain, just type "what is the intent of visitors searching for a B2B SaaS service?" into a search engine or AI assist box, and build your site around the answers you get. If communities, you can do the same thing by asking actual people on forums and platforms.
 
Honestly, the best move is to focus on one thing first instead of spreading yourself thin. If you’re already DM-ing and running automations, pause for a bit and try learning the basics of paid ads or email outreach properly
 
What are you selling/providing? What is the top 3 in your industry doing on the web? Are you marketing like them in quantity, and exposure?

Selling a leads tool for OFM agencies - I essentially scrape for paying fan signals from around the web and then map these to social accounts and put that into a modash-style leads and analytics database.

Problem I'm solving is helping OF agencies find and recruit creators - I might also build in a content tool that provides trending content in a given niche to help with their content strategies.

yeah this makes sense I am honing in on some better keywords gradually and starting to see some impressions on Google Search Console. I've read elsewhere that SEO can take 6+ months tho so I'm sort of prepping for the longhaul.

unfortunately my social posting is dogshit and I haven't found messaging that lands well yet. trying memes, replying, DMs, posting content similar to successful course creators in the space. Feels like social algos have gotten much tougher to crack but I like the idea of focusing on one social niche at a time and trying to build a repeatable strategy there.
