I've generally found the TLD to be irrelevant when selling sites with income - buyers will pay a multiple of income and not pay too much attention to the extension.

I don't invest much in domains but if I did, I'd be avoiding the new BRIC TLDs.

Here is my chance to get my answer from site flipping forum moderator

Hi sir, Today itself i bought a new blog($400) about mobile reviews, gadgets . blog is 4 month old, 400 uniques from google/day, alexa 280k global, and was hosted on vps , so as i took control i asked hostgator support to transfer the blog from vps to my hostgator cpanel. they are allowing this transfer for free 1time.

Basically i have purchased the blog to sell it in future, Now my plan is to post some good content on the blog regularly(blog has 122 posts already) and drive traffic from my facebook pages. i have adsense account so i have applied adsense already and will earn from it too.

My questions are :
1) Is it a good purchase ?
2) After how many months can i think of to sell this blog ?

You need to be creative to stand out on Flippa these days as it's very competitive. The real profit is there to be made once you have built up regular clients who will buy sites from you outside of Flippa (to avoid fees) and any other services you might be offering. English also doesn't seem to be your native language, so I would recommend having a native English speaker proof read your listings before they go public - this will help.



Thank you soo much! yes im native speaker so i outsource the listing to Iwriter most of the time :) . BTW my account is 94% an indian guy leave me a bad feedback so its the problem that i get low sales 3months ago i had good sales

1) Depends how much it makes. Doesn't sound like the worst deal in the world if all the content is unique, though.
2) 6 months + of earning history

Pick something you enjoy to start with. You'll be less likely to give up that way (it's likely you'll fail at your first few attempts).

You have already said that you are competetive and not just motivated by money, but I'm simply amazed how much you have achived so far. Would love to work with you one day.. so my question is:

Q: How can you stay focused to one project and not jump around between projects?

I keep doing it, but if I stick to one I just get too bored and dismotivated. Same thing with goals. I do IM full time and one day I decide to save up for a trip to Vegas then to get a better car, a couple weeks later something else again.. aggr. And when I have an above avarage day in terms of income I tend to get lazy and relax all day.
 
Thanks for doing this. I have 2 questions:

1- What are the best places for beginners to sell domains on these days? What about buying?
2- I have a fully developed subscription site in the computers niche that brings in about $900 a month (over 12 months track record), it requires content writing every month and I have a writer doing it at at cost of $70 + 2 hours of my time. I'm seriously under marketing it and I'm thinking about selling but I'm struggling with the valuation. What would be a reasonable multiplier for this business?

What do you think is the most important thing to consider while doing internet marketing, in general?
 
You talked a lot about diversifying your income... if someone is just starting out in IM are you saying they shouldn't focus too much on one method even if its profitable, or to switch to a new type of income source once we move onto a new project?
 
Whats your opinion on buying highend sites as an asset and using them to build passive income?
Would you consider it risky, as sometimes sites get penalized and lose all traffic and revenue, and therefore the value as well?
 
Ok I'll bite :) I know you're a website flipping pro which is one of the weaker areas of my IM game. So 2 questions if you don't mind.

1. What is the biggest mistake newbs who try to flip sites make?

2. If you had one piece of advice to give someone trying to get into flipping sites what would it be?
