Many guys here seem to think that my goal is 'difficult', 'too hard for a beginner', or straight up 'impossible'. Now, I would like you debbie downers to go back in time and say that to people like Kanye West, Jay Z, Steve Jobs, Donald Trump. Walk up to them and say: 'Hey, dude, I think your vision is unrealistic -- please, downsize your goal and dream small instead. I hope y'all understand how ridiculous that is.
You doubters are stuck in the old way of doing things. You aren't the innovators. There's nothing wrong in not being an innovator, because being the innovator ie. the risk taker is evolutionary the losing strategy -- but not always. When the mad man everyone else calls a nut or a crazy person IS SUCCESFUL (finds 'India' (Columbus), founds his own clothing company (Kanye West), runs for president after failing miserably the first time (Donald Trump)), he will change the whole culture. That's the guy I strive to be.

good luck, for me setting big goals never worked though. Setting small goals worked for me always, but you could be different. My first goal in IM was to make just $200 a month, i made that within first week and never looked back. Recently i have been setting million dollar a year type goals as well but it has not worked for me, but i will keep trying. Good luck!
In above post you mentioned some big names, so if you study them, you would know that Mark zuckerberg only wanted to start facebook for his own college and not whole world, amazon only wanted to sell books and not everything. So starting small worked for all these guys. So bit controversial statement - Start and think small and expand later

The only risk you are currently taking is wasting your time in this journey.
I'd say there is a slight chance of you succeeding if you knew the ins and outs of youtube marketing. But from what I've seen here I really doubt you do.

Set realistic goals else you won't succeed. Sure, you might, but from what I see here it's highly unlikely.

What innovation are you talking about? What is this new way of doing this? Are you even listening to yourself?
You are living in a dream world, wake up. Or wait until the reality slaps you in the face, yes, that will do.
Lets face it, your not steve jobs!! You are talking about super talented people. It amazes me how easy you think it is to get 1 million subs when you havent even tried youtube at all.
When people like you fail they start complaining about how youtube is unfair and life as well and then cry to sleep every night.

I don't know these guys, so you could be right.
However, the key word here is scalability. Online businesses survive and succeed because their markets are so damn big. I might be talking straight from my ass, but Amazon didn't sell books just in Oregon and Facebook wasn't open ONLY for the students at Harvard. Guess what, I can also scale up.

I don't know what niche you're in, but anything is possible on YouTube! Just to throw it out there, not every niche is capable of reaching 1 million subs (ex. WordPress tutorials), but that doesn't mean it isn't profitable.
A book I would recommend for this journey is "Building a storybrand" by Donald Miller. There's so much information in there on how to grab your audience's attention and how to keep people invested (building an audience/subscriber base). It teaches you how to communicate information in a compelling way (very useful in videos) and how to create compelling call-to-actions (useful for websites).
