Nothing just make them super PBN”s or super web 2.0s then use them for link building.

Super means add logos, write non profitable article[Article without link to your money site],Add social media links,Write some hq aritcles.Build social signals and second tier links.

Remove all the toxic links from your PBNs.

That's All

Could you just quickly confirm you have managed to recover a site from Fred and post analytics/rank tracker screenshots of this recovery?

Theres so many people churning crap out right now about it that have not actually managed to recover a site.

No, just rehashing crap from guru blogs. Nothing to see here.

Looks like the new Google webmaster guidelines;), nothing new there from what Google says how to build websites except the link building part.

My thoughts exactly. Especially since there is no hard confirmation that "Fred" is a singular update, nor is there hard evidence on exactly what it hit. I've heard speculation that it hit ad sites, and I've heard speculation that it hit popups, further more some simply think it was targeting PBNs in a select few industries... so I'm curious to see if somebody has successfully recovered from something so hard to define. Personally I don't think that "Fred" was even an actual update, but the first large move made by the AI. Which would be why it is hard to pin down... because it isn't one big update, but several small changes.

so in fact you try to tell us to do 10 different things which leave without clue what really helped afters wards?
sounds like great structure for a gurubloggerbullshitpost.

What AI?!

Google Brain, AKA Rank Brain... it has essentially complete control over what used to be done in Updates. Now the AI updates small things in batches as it sees fit. No more Penguin updates... just regular AI adjustments, possibly on a daily basis.

Sorry, but WTF? This could have been part of the experiment to see whether monkeys would eventually recreate Hamlet.

Any official source for that? And daily basis updates are not new, if you think Google only updates their algorithm periodically (Panda/Penguin,etc...) you are seriously mistaken.

All this fred bullshit is driving up the fucking wall. Nobody knows what it hit. I have a site with popups, and it is stuffed with affiliate links on every page, and has informational pages with links to my commercial content. It got hit for a few days while I moved to SSL but has recovered for the most part, so no, I didn't get hit with Fred even though thats what you THINK it is. Besides, Google is the biggest fucking spammer ever with all their ads and putting Amazon for practically every product search you can think of. They are not going to hurt you if you don't use crappy lady gaga bst's and all the other trash that's on this site, and don't outsource to people for $3 an article.

hey mate my website traffic and the ranking decrease in January, but im building linked regularly but did not get any improvement any suggestion.

I have 3 adsense units above the fold in one of my sites and rank has only increased in the last few weeks.

This video shows just how susceptible humans are to superstition.

If you change something on your site, and your traffic changes, you may think there's a causal relationship there.

But correlation doesn't equal causation, and in the process, you may end up HURTING your rankings rather than helping them.

I think what everyone should do is simply wait it out.

Wait at LEAST 20 days before making any significant changes to your site.

Try and try we might, we're never going to figure Google out, especially now that they're not actively telling us about their updates and what they entail.

Wait for Moz or Ahrefs (companies with MASSIVE amounts of data) to release a blog post saying what they think about the update.

I made about 7-8 changes to my site, and my traffic came back. Unfortunately, I have NO way of knowing whether it was random, whether it was due to one of the changes, or whether it was due to all of them. I'm totally in the dark.

Can you explain little bit more about those 7-8 changes. Actually, I want to get some information who have recovered from this fred update! I am still down and I have lost more than 75% visitors!

The whole issue we service providers face is exactly what is quoted.

The basic structure of internet marketing have been built by gurus on bullshit and "how to become billionaire overnight" because it sells. Nobody is ready to wait and want to see immediate results. Snake oil salesmen don't do any good either.
