Are GBP expired domains for SEO worth it?

Hi

Are worth it expired domains with GBP that have status open and with good backlinks and relevant to your niche and audience location?

Google's definition of navboost: "Navboost is an internal Google ranking system that uses user click behavior on search engine results pages (SERPs) to evaluate and refine search result placements"

In my opinion these are good for getting backlinks to main site and start strong with website from the beginning. Also one more question can i use these type of domains for evergreen niches like pets, gardening, health...? What are your thoughts i want your opinion?

I would check the backlink history and whether the old business actually matches the new niche before assuming the GBP adds much SEO value

Expired domains with an attached GBP are golden at the moment, even if they're not relevant to your niche. Rebuild, and build out rather than just 301ing to another domain. Evergreen niches would be the WH way to go, grey niches or bulk content would be the BH way to go.

Tell that to the igaming services ranking for juicy casino keywords using an expired domain from an old B&B.

No, you want to use the expired domain to gain control of the GBP account attached to it. Example: you reg the expired domain of a plumber with a GBP attached. If you can get the GBP access you can change the phone number, and forward enquiries to other local plumbers for a % - rank and rent. Or you can just use the apparent boost in authority that an attached GBP has to leverage for igaming affiliate work/PBNs.

What if the previous owner denies my verification application?
 
yeah expired domains with real history still work for quick authority boost, just make sure backlinks are actually relevant not spammy shit.
 
ive seen mixed results honestly, the ones that worked best still had an active review flow and locals still search the biz name. if its just a dead listing with old backlinks the seo boost feels pretty thin imo
 
Expired domains with an active Google Business Profile are certainly worthwhile, provided the backlink history is clean and relevant to your niche. An established GBP offers a significant head start, delivering immediate local trust and genuine user clicks that feed directly into ranking systems such as Navboost.

Exactly right, Google doesn’t care about the dead authority anymore if there’s nothing happening with the actual brand. With no new search volume or reviews pouring in, these links are kind of just dead weight.

but as far as GBP is concerned, I would like to do more. that includes verification of the backlink history, relevance in the past nd recent activities.
