iGaming Meta ads in Norway

We are started running Meta ads in iGaming recently and now we want to expand doing that on Norway.
Does anyone has clue, are we able to run Meta ads at all in Norway even with Agency accounts or is the website / ad taken down almost immediately?

Tried to search gambling ads in Norway with Meta ad library, but I didnt find anything.

Does someone have experience on Norway market with paid advertising?

Is it allowed in ur country?

You can look for meta whitelist accounts specifically designed for this type of ads, which may make running campaigns easier.
Or, if you use regular accounts, you can use cloaking

Hello BroTher Norway is highly restricted for iGaming ads, so check Meta approval and local licensing before launching.

Is the Norwegian market really not that promising? I think that if you can run iGaming ads in other markets, Norway should be no exception if you know how to set things up properly

Norway is super tough because of the state monopoly. Even if you manage to cloak the ads and bypass meta for a bit, the real issue is payment processing... Norwegian banks are forced to block transactions to unlicensed gambling sites so its kinda a waste of budget tbh. Probably why you didn't see anything in the ad library.

Hi. its possible to run gambling ads on meta but you have to do some things for that.

1. do research and develop a funnel based of that research, for example:
Which age group gambles the most (30-55?)

What is the population of norway? (The bigger population the longer your creatives convert)

How do people view gambling in Norway, is it a form of leisure or a way to earn extra money? (most probably form of leisure since norway is a rich country)

Why Norway specifically? is the conversion rate high there?

Which OS do most people have there, Apple or android?

2. After you developed the funnel and have creatives ready, you have to edit the creatives a bit for example changing the metadata, adding some noise, increasing the contrast and etc, there are bots on telegram that do that for you and make ur creatives ready for running.

3. Agency accounts help, they have higher trust. make sure your agency provides you with good proxies

4. If you have a video creative, add a thumbnail for example a picture of a cat or something that wont trigger the moderation.

5. use cloaking services to filter facebook bots.

Also, there are spy services that specialize on finding gambling ads. such as adsheart or tyver. personally i use tyver its simple and straightforward.

Yes but the norway has strict gambling rules so you can check Meta’s policy and local laws before running ads there.

It does not matter, people run ads in countries where it’s illegal . You just have to setup everything correctly

Targeting Norway is not bad in fact I'll advise you to go for it because you will be the first person to show on Norway ads library, but I won't rely on agency account only I will combine it with cloaking tools to run smoothly without rejected

Hey this is actually our companies speciality. Running meta ads for products that are not allowed on meta. Currently we market for onlyfans/ sex industry creators, stream sites, etc. Gambling wouldn't be much different to set up and run.

Norway is a different beast when it comes to igaming meta ads.

Before testing I’d check operator licensing if you have any, Meta gambling approval, and whether your funnel can actually complete KYC/deposits from Norway. Account quality won’t fix a blocked market.

In my experience, anywhere that has regulation that only allows state owned casinos is more problematic than somewhere a bit more relaxed. It's not impossible, but expect to burn accounts quickly.
