Woo is very easy to set up and free, no monthly cost other than hosting

I have a website that is currently in development. In my personal experience while Shopify does have certain advantages it was not my first choice when getting started. If you are just trying to get off the ground then I recommend WooCommerce due to the fact that it will be easier for your wallet and if you know word press then it might even be easier for you set up

If you have a startup budget of $150, you can setup your own ecom site with alidropship plugin, which is easier than shopify to use, since it's dedicated to ali dropshippers and you can import products and process the orders in 1 click. It's costs $89/site for life and another $20 to setup you VPS for fast loading of your site and $50 would be reserve.
So, the from next month you will have to pay $20 for server, which is not huge.
In fact, I have 25% off coupon for aliplugin, thus purchased 5 licenses and running 5 sites and got the 1st month of VPS for free.
So, my 1st month cost for 1 site was around $67.
Oh any that includes SSL as well and I have full control of my site, with whatever payment processor I want to have.
I have PP, CC, Bitcoin.

WooCommerce will take more time to learn,
But you have much more control, you can make things look much nicer, and it is also free.
You can also get pretty much any theme or plugin for free if you can find the right links

The reason I dropped shopify is that everything has a subscription, you need a plugin, it has a subscription, getting expensive real fast.
The alidropship plugin from Yaros is ok but the problem is that you can't customize it much, all people that use that plugin, their sites look all the same.

Woocommerce also have a aliexpress plugin which is OTO unlike oberlo on shopify.
Shopify you can adjust to certain points. But I prefer WP and woocommerce.
