Just received my article and wow, I feel conned.
I paid $50 for this 500-word article, and what I received looked like it was written by my younger sister. (She's 8). Actually, scratch that. She'd do a better job.
I literally paid this guy, or "team of US writers whose native language is English", ten cents every time they pressed the space button, and in exchange, I got an article that had not one, but nine grammatical errors! From the misuse of the construction "an" to the blatant disregard of commas, the article was littered with errors that literally made me want to phone up PayPal and refund that shit. The writer even wrote "overclosking" instead of "overclocking". How fat do your fingers have to be to type that? How blind/intoxicated/incompetent/all of the above does your proofreader, getting paid
$10 per 100 words have to be to miss that?
When I raised the issues to the seller, they played it down by telling me that "The total price include not just content writing if you read thread carefully" (Yes, even their reply had errors in) Fair enough, that's true, they would have uploaded the content if I asked, but then so would
@ContentWriter or one of the many other writers that charge 15% of the price and do a much better job. So, their whole defense was that I basically shouldn't expect $10/100 word content, because I'm also paying them to upload it and add images.
Asides from the painful-to-read errors, the article was poorly researched, with facts that simply weren't true (Clearly just took
this link and didn't check any other sources) Towards the end of the article it seemed as if the writer simply gave up, with some of the paragraphs literally being one sentence long and leaving the reader thinking "what the fuck are they on about". I'm building a site about gaming, so was purposefully vague as to what content I wanted, and this is one of the paragraphs that I got:
I asked the seller if they have any happy clients from their service, to which they replied "Everyone
" and then said this when I asked to see one (As I found it hard to believe anyone with half a brain would be happy with this) "Sorry, but I am not here to discuss my business with other clients, you may read all the reviews on the thread." Well, I must have the eyesight of his proofreader, because I can't find any reviews, positive or negative. This is the sort of run-around behavior that they were giving me.
To make matters worse, they said that our talk was not being constructive. Fair enough. I sent them an in-depth response detailing all the issues I had with the article (Explaining various grammatical errors and how to fix them) and then said something like 'That's 150 words, where do I invoice you for the $15?'.
"If I charge you for time trying to get info from you, you’ll have to file for bankruptcy.
" Was the reply I got. What a way to treat someone who just paid you $50 'ey. Nice.
Here are some more amazing examples of what $50 gets you:
'Wait, so do I just need to buy just the VIVE or do I need a PC as well?' Is what I, and the other people I showed the article to, were wondering when we read that.
What benefit does this offer to the reader? None.
And it goes on like this for 500 words.
Another 10/10 sentence here. Very informative. I can see my readers sticking around for the rest of the article after reading this. Great that is had been tasted. Was it sweet or savoury?
Overall, for the price, I would recommend that you run for the hills! To be honest, this wouldn't make it past my PBN's. Just to put how bad the article was into context, I just wrote a 900-word review for it. Something that would have cost me $90 if I ordered it here.
BUT WAIT. They would upload it to WP for me! What a bargain right.
