Hey guys I'm making this post for those of you who may get down when a post doesn't do well or for some reason you just cant figure out why your not getting as many followers as everyone else here on the forums. I think with Instagram luck comes into play a lot, and I thought some of you might like to see how big of a difference it can make.

Here's some examples

First there is this account which is almost 3 weeks old. Notice the mere 150% engagement rate with 503 followers. Its not doing so great. It averages between 30 and 45 followers a day now and 35-40 likes per image.

Then there is this account at 1 week old. This account is KILLING IT with likes. Insane engagement even for a newer account. Getting on average a little over 100 likes per post and now over 50 followers a day.

Finally we have this account at 2 weeks old. This account has been doing well since the beginning, near 100 likes a post. Just yesterday it got over 2000 likes and over 200 followers. Its hit the popular page 3 times already.

The reason I made this post is because these accounts are practically all the same yet have vastly different results. They post from the same group of images, scrape users from the same accounts, have the same level of activity as each other. I think it goes to show that even if you do everything right, there's a small chance it wont matter.

For those of you who are asking yourself "why is my account not performing the way it should?". It may just be from the beginning your account was doomed to under-perform. The only way around this is to just start multiple accounts and weed out the weak ones. Although, your accounts may grow out of it slowly, but I wouldn't know yet since all my accounts are under 3k.

Definitely agree, I started up 10 accounts a few weeks ago that were basically all the same with different usernames/logos.. and I'm seeing the same thing! I think it depends on wether big accounts see your posts and like them. Just a thought though!

Mind telling me what anayltics you're using? been looking for a good one to track all of my accounts stats. All the ones I've found change per month per account which isn't affordable when I only want to track follower count and engagement rate!

I use mass planner which automatically tracks stats. I use websta mainly to create a custom feed for my bot accounts so I can see how all my posts are doing. Websta can only keep track of stats if you sign into the account on websta, but since I use proxies I cant do that.

Fair enough. I know massplanner tracks them, but it doesn't have like a graph of followers gained per day (that I can find). Maybe it's something to suggest to them.

You should check wether big accounts have liked the posts that are doing well. I'm really interested in experimenting with that!

Dashboard -> Statistics -> Tools -> Check Show Daily Change -> Click #Followers

Also check toggle between social profiles and platforms to see individual accounts changes and total changes across all insta accounts! Works great if you set up each account to auto sync every .5 hours in advanced account settings.

Oh and the accounts that are doing well are definitely being spoon fed likes from bots. I dont know why but I mean I dont care as long as it benefits me. I also get a lot of comments, even from accounts with 2m+ followers.

Wow okay - thank you so much for that info! Exactly what I was wanting. Been using massplanner for 8 months and I never found that hidden panel.

Hmm okay well the comments from the popular accounts definitely would be helping give that boost of engagement. @KarenMiller posted an interesting write up on this if you want to go through her?/his? history Maybe they'll chime in on this thread!

If I can get 30 accounts up and running with no big issues, anyone can. I have been doing this less than two months, just take the advice you find here on this forums and take it slow!

You're right, that's a fair point. Maybe I'm just mad because it's a 2 year old personal account that i've just started trying to grow for my own business and seeing others with unoriginal crap and bad reposting patterns growing huge with these trash photos... thats the frustrating part.

In positive news I gained a whole 15 followers overnight after turning up my follow settings to be more aggressive... maybe all hope is not lost?

Don't get it twisted, it does involve some luck but luck is made by working hard. Stay with it daily and focus on great content for your accounts.
