Never Had So Many Shopify Scammers!

I have multiple stores with shopify. I have dropshipping websites and have a website that I create my own products and use fulfillment centers.

Anyways, I have this women who emails me 2 times a day telling me she got charged twice from my shopify store. First of all her name doesn't even exist in shopify or paypal. I'm keep asking her for the order #, maybe a different name, address etc. She keeps saying the same shit over and over.

Should I tell her to take a picture of the product she bought off me and send it to me What the hell can I do?

If you're 1000% sure she never purchased from your store, don't waste any time on it. Just create a filter to automatically delete all emails from her.

Dont answer untill she give you a proof of buying.
This is an old and dumb method.
Some person google some shops, send emails with the details like you got from her, and ofcurse nobody find it, and she angry, and 1 of 10 shops owners have no power to deal with this person so they give him "back" some bucks..

Holy shit! Thanks guys. I never had so many scams using shopify in my life. I get people everyday saying I didn't receive all my products, this is missing, can I have 10% off, I never received it... I provide tracking! This isn't just with one of my shopify stores, it's with another to and a different niche. PEOPLE ARE FUCKIN CHEAP!!!

Here is a question guys I get... a man wants a refund, which I'm fine as long as he returns the products. How do I refund him through shopify if he no longer has that credit card supposedly? Paypal?

Ignore her, if in the very first place she is not giving you the order #, the more you entertain the scammers the more they will pursue their evil intentions.

I think you shouldn't refund him in this situation. I mean, no business would i believe. It's risky, he could charge back after you send him the money and have twice as he initially spent. He could be lying, or maybe not. But don't do it.

Be very careful, sounds like a few con artists are targeting your store - it could be a stolen credit card used to purchase or a chargeback scammer.

A) You send Paypal or alternate refund and eventually the real card owner charges back due to a stolen card - you're out money from original order + goods + PP refund
B) You send Paypal or alternate refund and this guy charges back through his CC company - you're out money from original order + goods + PP refund
C) This guy is telling the truth and eventually his bank charges back on you - you're only out original purchase + cost of goods

I'd tell them it's policy you only refund to the original payment source with returned goods in original condition, that's entirely reasonable and if they have any issues then they can contact their bank. I'd take my chances with a bank chargeback on that but it feels like a scam.

In theory, there should be a record that you refunded a payment through PayPal. If the customer paid through PayPal, received a refund through PayPal, and then files a chargeback, PayPal should be able to show clearly to the credit card company that a refund has already been provided.

PayPal is sleazy and terrible, also, so you should do your research before doing anything.

Great breakdown! Yeah, I think some people are targeting my store for charge backs etc. Is there any way to prevent scammers? Any app... Probably not I'm guessing

This happened to me last month! Some women complained to her charge card company the product wasn't described and was missing products she bought. She told me she would take a partial refund through PayPal, she used a credit card. I told her our policy is whatever method of payment you used on shopify that is how you will be refunded. She told me a sob story how her Amex got froze because of fraudulent activity blah blah blah. Anyways, she did a charge back with her CC company and I blocked her information on my store. Just don't bother with a scammer and take the charge back if she goes for one and move on... it happens in retail stores all the time!
