Should I use my abbreviated domain as primary?

Say I own the domain name "BestKitchenCabinets.co.uk" it is a google exact match but its quite long, too long for when you use it for emails "[email protected] does not fit easily on to a business card.

So I have the chance to acquire best-rwck.co.uk or brwck.co.uk which clearly does not give a google match but [email protected] / brwck.co.uk is easier to type down or fit onto a business card.

Should I use the bestrealwo.......co.uk as the primary domain for the website and redirect the abbreviated domains to it or should I use brwck.co.uk as the main domain but 301 redirect bestrealwoo.......co.uk to it for the SEO google match?


(Obviously its not these actual phrases as I am sure someone would beat me to registering them after posting this haha)

URL structure is more important than building websites. I strongly suggest don't use any abbreviations,numbers,symbols on the URL.

You must know the Do's and Dont's in domains.

I would suggest using the full domain as well. However, why can't you just use the other domain for your e-mail address? If you want to use a 301, again, why don't you build up the links on the full domain name and simply use the shortened version as a "feeder" and also your e-mail.

you need full url for seo purposes and you need short and sweet names for email and branding.

Okay thanks for everyones input, Looks like I will stick to having the abbreviation as the email and forward it to the full name URL.
