It's Working!
Ok...
quick update: As I was downloading URLprofiler (as recommended by rpkrocks above) I decided to give the ScrapeBox Page Authority checker addon one more shot. And it worked!!!
Here's why it worked: They whitelisted my IP. I'm certain of this. It didn't just happen though. When I first asked Moz support (from within a free account) to whitelist my IP they (more or less) told me "this is all done automatically by Incapsula and we have no ability to Whitelist IPs".
I get it... there are hundreds of thousands of users abusing the Moz system. It's time to tighten things up a bit and get rid of freebie seekers. Afterall, they're not the ones helping MOZ pay their bills and yet are the ones dragging down their system the most.
I get this... business is business. I would do the same if I owned Moz.
So my second email? Paid account baby. Show them the money. I showed them that I am actually adding to their bottom line by paying for an upgraded business account... and explained how I am unable to use the service I am paying for because my IP is blocked. I didn't get a response, but my MOZ API is working again. To me that means they manually overrode Incapsula and whitelisted my IP. How else would it suddenly work perfectly again?
So not exactly sure what Moz TOUs scrapebox is breaking, but Moz is determined to raise the bar and ScrapeBox (along with other scraping tools) just aren't quite complying yet. I have a feeling it won't take long though before SB comes out with an update.
Here's the thing: If your API stopped working properly, it likely means your IP got blacklisted (I assume from abusing the shits out of free accounts). I doubt you will get it white listed again from a free account - so time to pay the piper. Get a paid account (even if it's via a group buy), it's well worth it.
Sure it costs a few dollars you didn't have to pay before, but think of the competitive advantage you will have over other SEOs that are too cheap or poor (or plain dumb) to upgrade. Everything changes, I know, but such is the nature (evolution) of SEO.
Either way, I love ScrapeBox and absolutely love being able to use MOZ with it finally again... so I'm a happy camper. Got 100k URLs itching to get scanned
If you have any questions, please let me know. A "thanks" wild be greatly appreciated as well
