Okay, so everytime I post on Instagram I have hashtags. I also use FollowLiker to find appropriate hashtags to like and to follow. I am getting around 70-100 users a day. But I feel I am walking in the dark and possibly on the verge of getting even more traffic if I choose better hashtags to like/follow/post, but I simply don't know which of tags are giving me traffic and which aren't.

How do I determine which hashtags are giving traffic so I can focus on them and which hashtags are just DOD?

Is it just a guessing game or is there a way to tell?

Thanks so much!

In the past I have run tests, this was a difficulty process and took some time & consistency.
Basically i simply used trial and error plus a process of elimination.

I would group the hashtags into groups of 5-8 and on each day i would post an image with a different set of hashtags. In each of the groups there would be like 2 hashtags that overlap into other groups.

I would then notice which groups worked better and narrowed it down to what were the better tags in each hashtag.

This however is all variable, as you never know which image would be more popular and how that effected. A lot of luck involved.

It would be great if we could track where the likes came from.

I usually look at the website top hash tags for their pre generated lists. I don't think that precise hashtags make a huge difference as long as they are in the same niche. If you are really committed, you can see how many posts each hashtag has and use the ones that are most popular.

I'm working on a bot that searches for a hashtag, then scrapes every hashtag that comes up with it in search results, separates that into a list of unique hashtags, and a list including repetition.

Then it counts how many times a unique hashtag was repeated, and sorts them by what was used the most times, returning the top X number of results.

I hope it ends up being useful.

Can you elaborate on how you made the groups ( like based on the number of shares or how ) and which groups performed best?
Also, what was the usual like ranges of the photos used in this trial.

I would like to do something similar myself and I will apreciate your insight.

Interesting, there is no tool or online service that can help to find high trafficated hashtags?!

Is this bot somewhere available?

It's pretty time consuming and difficult to do this, but you'd be better off getting all the hashtags of each post, getting the engagement related to that hashtag, and then have them in a list of most used hashtags and highest engagement hashtags, and compare them and use the ones that appear in the top of both lists.
