Ask me anything about dropshipping on ebay

How exactly are you dropshipping from amazon to ebay? Are you contacting independent vendors on amazon directly for product? I am not interested in niche, but rather how the business around this model works. Thanks.

Quadrupling the price instead of setting it to zero is not ridiculous. It's another sale in your pocket and gets you to having your Paypal holds lifted faster if someone should happen to buy the item. I got lucky and someone did, I was just mentioning it and that's all. No one here has to be snarky about it. Some folks are comfortable with having their software set their listing to zero and dealing with cancelling the order if someone buys the item before their software catches it. I am not.

I'm much more comfortable having my software automatically run for me every four hours and quadruple the price if Amazon runs out of stock. It's a lot easier to source your product from another online retailer when you have a nice profit to do it with.

Couple questions,

First off when I try to sign up for pricematik it gives me an internal error or something?

But anyways if I'm using Hydra to post items and skugrid to monitor my items, what program would I use to fulfill and send out orders?

I wasn't saying it was ridiculous in general. More that it was stupid that Euphorix agreed and said it was good. Wayyy back in this thread (I think) I proposed exactly what you did and he recommended not to do it. Basically, I was just saying he was giving conflicting advice.

If something works for you it is not ridiculous.

Hi there. I am dropshipping on eBay but in the last month the sales got a hard hit and the profit is really small.
The things I did this month: uploaded over 200products (5-10per day) excepting the weekends, and in the last days of month I started to review my items according to eBay suggestions (improving photos on items which had only 1) and adding the specifics of some items which were missing. Even that I have over 500 products, the sales were really low this month.
Can anyone tell me a suggestion to improve my account and boost sales a bit? What can I do more? Double the number of products? I've read the entire topic but still not found any solution to my problem.

In the last 3 months I had a decent profit and number of sales, but this month even that I worked on my store, sales got dropped.

Also, I would like to know if I have to put UPC (right upc or new upc) on all products (I have over half of them with UPC missing - set it "does not apply"

Waiting for your answers/suggestions! Thank you

Question: trying to change price/quantity via eBay, but sometimes cannot proceed due to ebays BS photo quality message. Is there another way to change the price without triggering this warning?

I rang up to get a replacement of an item. The guy says your account is under investigation because of too many refunds/returns, and has been sent to the local police authorities for investigation. I said where is my email, my notice, he said he doesn't have anymore information on it, and can't send me an email on the issue, but the investigation was started because I requested another return 2 days ago, that's what triggered it. Then he told me the police authorities the investigation was taking place, was the town of the item I was trying to get a refund for. That's where I smelt bullshit. So after arguing with him, saying I ordered 730 items in the last 30 days, there is bound to be 10 or so returns, he said he would issue my refund, and then I ended the phone call because he wouldn't give me anymore info. He got me scared and worried, but at the same time, it just seemed too extreme of an action for Amazon to take, just because I had many returns on my account. Would amazon really pursue a case of fraud on so many low cost items? I had to find out.

So I rang back up, and asked straight up the next Customer Service agent (after confirming my account details). Is there any investigations on my account? She checked and said no. I asked again to double check, she still said no. I then told her what the other colleague had done. But because he didn't leave any annotations on the account or send an email about the refund, she couldn't identify him. So I said what was the last item refund issued. The idiot did refund me like he said (just didn't send the email or add annotations to the account), then I said I wanted to make a complaint against him for saying the police were investigating my account.

Fucking Indians, just do the fucking job that you're hired to do, and stop thinking the high rate of returns is suspicious (because you don't realise they're not all going to the same address), and then dish out your own sense of "justice" by scaring the customer with threat of the police. You're not paid to think about that, that's your managers and accounts department job to flag my account, not yours you fucking prick.

I actually said after she was processed the complaint, to not process it because I didn't want him to lose his job. In reality I said that because she said the call will be investigated to see what happened, and I mention in the call 730 orders in the last 30 days, so I am now worried they'll pick up on that, and I get investigated for drop shipping. She said she won't process my complaint, but still get the call investigated because what her colleague did needs retraining.

So really I should have just finished the call when I realised there was no investigation, rather than take further action (which she wasn't going to do until I said I wanted to file a complaint). Never mind, tbh I should be ok. And if not I'll move onto a new amazon account. But I was quite angry, as you can see in this post, that's why I pursed a complaint. And don't think I shouldn't be angry, the fact that he said police were getting involved is a hard thing to ignore when you think it might be true (I mean look at my account, many returns and orders, kind of looks fraudulent), so he did give me unnecessary undue stress and worry for no fucking reason, the asshole.

So be warned of CS agents dishing out their own justice, because they think they're teaching spoilt adults in the UK a lesson.

And no I'm not racist against Indians. I'm half Indian myself, my dad's Indian, and most of my family is (they have more children, so I have more Indian cousins and aunts then on my mum's English side).

Not a problem :)

I just see too many nay-sayers on here shooting others down. Raising the price of your items automatically when an item goes out of stock can be a strategy to use. Just make sure that your software can lower the price when Amazon lowers theirs or you're screwed lol.

I'm happy to see that you are following this thread and hopefully having great success with it too.

I don't know that Pricematik is actually working at this time. I tried it in December and although you can make your listings quite nicely with it, it didn't run the price checks at all even when I did them manually, so I moved on.

For ClaudiuRo:

January I suspect is typically slow for anyone doing this business model. It was fast and furious before Christmas and then it drops off if you don't have tons of listings. So my suggestion is to keep on adding those listings. You don't have enough listings for this method to produce on the daily, unless you hit on some really goldmine stuff.

Hope that helps.

As far as your codes go, there's a website where you can look up numbers and get their codes. It's called:

bar code lookup (just piece the words bar code and lookup together, i can't post links yet sorry).

Thank you both for answers! What about selling new items? Does it works more? I mean some new releases which aren't at all dropshippers right now. I have a lot of items found on ebay which are listed at least 4-5-10 times from another sellers, maybe that makes the sales dropping.

Also, any ideas to improve listings? I have all fields completed on items. Something in description? I saw at a guy a link, before the description, a link to his store. does it helps?

I am trying to use SKU Grid but for some reason it is not updating prices for me. Is there another option or?

For ClaudiuRo:

I'm not sure about new items that aren't drop shipped right now. I've never tried it that way myself. The thing is that you want to go with what already works. You just need to make sure you make your titles and descriptions are better than the others.

Make sure you check the listings of the item you want to put up. Find out if the item you want to put up is even actually doing well at all.

There's also a website, Google: evaluator online

It allows you to type in a specific product and see how well it does and how much it goes for as well. I find it helpful to know if the item I want to list is worth it.

Hope that helps.

Sounds similar to Terapeake's title tool. I'll have to check that one out, thanks.

I am just starting to learn code html, css, php and sql.

What would be the best language to learn for making automation bots for things like this?

Anyone getting any trouble delivering to multiple addresses?

I keep getting some damn error message saying there was an internal conflict and we're sorting the problem out.

I then do this on a brand new account and the same thing happens.
