Ask me anything about dropshipping on ebay

I believe that is how it should work, however I just checked my last 10 products bought, and none of them have had sales tax applied, even though the shipping addresses are on the list of states with Amazon sales tax. So I'm not quite sure
Item sold and shipped by amazon will have taxes will be taxed if shipped to a state where amazon have one of their shipping center. On top of my head it was about 3 out of 4 person in US. If you buy from a seller other than amazon who ships with amazon or from their own location you'll more than likely not pay taxes.

Are you using just one LLC?Also, i'm wondering about protection also. I mean protection from the fact that if one the LLCs get banned for some reason... will it spread and get all your LLCs banned?I mean, if you have multiple LLCs all connected through a holding LLC or IP or similar?
For optimal protection if you are afraid of getting banned you should get 1 IP per LLC and also flush your cookies and or create a windows user for each LLC.I'm running of one account and never had any troubles with bans. I received some warnings about products but simply complied. Called ebay a few times about feedbacks which I beleive were not deserved and never had any problems either.

Cool. But I think IP is one issue.

I wonder how the LLCs can be kept completely separate?

On a side note. I guess if an LLC (A) get's banned for something another LLC (B) then I guess (A) can sue eBay to get reinstated as they are separate entities.

I must research that more. Having to shut down loads of LLCs and restart due to one banned LLC would be a disaster.

Cheers.

I have one main question,I plan on drop shipping items out of the country now and let's use China for instance.Say I have "Really awesome china product"listed BUT the delivery service is epacket, how do I list epacket in Ebay?I see other sellers listing it and even being able to post the item's from China but I don't know how to,I was gonna just put some random China postal code to make the item pop up from China but I still want to know how to use the Epacket feature

further clarification please, so if you do not use the send as gift option will there be an invoice in the package?

cant remember if my amazon packages show prices lol i wanna say they dont?

Depends on how the seller feels,a good amount of Amazon sellers(can't say the majority but a pretty good amount)don't like being used as dropshippers and can start figuring out when being used as one.....then that's when you're playing russian roulette.I've read some go as far as to say they added not only the invoice but their business info(website, contact, etc). Now if you're staying with manufacturers on Amazon this might not be a big problem,I can't honestly say because I've never dropshipped amazon to ebay(for that exact reason).

Just wanna thank these guys. Definitely possible if you action. Sold three items overnight on my own ecommerce site (not eBay) . Two of these items I am drop shipping from Amazon, and one is a wholesale item that I have in stock myself. I'm about to place the order on Amazon. Thanks again guys.

You drive organic traffic or you use ppc? Also,if you save enough to get on shareasale costs around $600,you might be able to scale up on there if you add your site to the network

Have you looked into getting the PayPal Debit Mastercard. Not sure if it's available to Spain users, but if it is, you will absolutely love being able to make instant orders when they come in without fronting any $$$.

getting paypal debit mastercard is worth it instant payments compared to banks taking 3-5 days

1: How do you get over the PayPal holds? My PP is old, 4-5 years, verified and all that sort of stuff. I have sold things on eBay before, close to 60 100% feedback. Sold something yesterday, PP are holding the funds for 7 days OR when the buyer confirms they have received the item and everything was alright. Surely for this method to work you need the funds to be available straight away so I'm guessing there is away around this?

2: Isn't PayPal/eBay splitting up, any idea who the new payment processor is going to be?

1. the problem with Paypal is that their actions are moodable.
Means, that there is no reason for your 7 days hold, its just matter of whenever they decide it is safe enough to take it down.
Shouldnt take long.
Usually the 21 day hold is removed about 3 month after first sale, Other kind of PP holds are just the game they play.

2. eBay and PP are splitted already, though eBay is still based on Paypal payments.

In Spain the Paypal Card isn't available since the February 2015 so I'm looking for other method like buying Amazon gift cards, but I can't find any website with reasonable prices that accept paypal. Any idea?

My ex's eBay account has a limit of 500/$150,000. My account is at 10/$500 even though it's several years old. What percent would be fair to give her for the use of her account until I get my limits up to a high enough amount?

I think this questions is beyond the scope of this AMA thread.

That said, I would suggest you/she consider the fact the your ex will be using her good name for your trading activities. She will assume a certain level of risk as she will be out of control of what you do with her account. There is a chance that she may be banned from Ebay if things go awry.

When you mention percentage. "Fairness" is subjective really and as ye are both business people in this capacity, you should want to give as little as possible and she as much as possible. It's simply a negotiation.

I suggest you run the numbers on what the actual Net Gain will be fro utilising her account.

Then, since the 80/20 rule can be applied to a lot of things, I suggest you offer her %20 of net earning as a result from her account and take it from there. Remember that you will be doing all the work and she will assume all the risk.

You could negotiate further and try and get her to manage customer service and placing of orders for a few extra percent. This will reduce risk to her name as a result.

Hope that helps.

Good advice, I actually thought of her doing customer service and placing orders but at first I want to handle all of it since I'm still learning this also. I think I'll make her an offer of 20% for use of account and then negotiate another percentage for her placing orders and customer service. We've been split up for nine years and she has worked for me in several businesses during that time so I know we can work well together.

I have 3 questions for the OP:

1. How much profit are you making a day?

2. How do you find products that have around an $8 profit?

3. The tools you've created, can we see screenshots, are they part of the $30 a month, and do they work in the UK?

I drive organic traffic. Just launched the site and all traffic came from Instagram/Facebook for those sales. I will look into sharesale thanks.

You need to be selling on eBay for 90 days, have 25 positive feedback (no negatives), and have done over $250 in sales. That number fluctuates though- has it been 90 days since your first sale (sale, not account creation)?

Call paypal. They'll let you know exactly what you need to do to get them off

eBay is still using PayPal as their processor :)

Ty.

Just use your credit card until it's available. That being said, call PayPal, ask to speak to an account specialist and explain your situation to them.

Don't tell them you're drop shipping but let them know that you're buying gifts for important company clients- they might be able to help you out

Nothing. Nix the 10 account and create your own 500 selling limit account. There's a method to eBay's selling limit madness: it's like a BHW share. Find out and then work the method

The split agreement says paypal does at least 85% of eBay's payment processing for the next 5 years.
