Hello,

I purchased the plugin a few days ago and unfortunately I'm experiencing a lot of troubles with it. At first, I wasn't able to activate the plugin with the given license key. The support was very kind & helpful and we figured out, that I have to whitelist the URL of the plugin developers site in my cURL firewall settings manually. After doing that I was able to activate the plugin. Now the plugin shows the green "active" status but it won't jack any likes. Sometimes it also seems to be randomly switching from "inactive" to "active" status and back again. Also the toggle switch defining the modal box input isn't working and I can't change from text to code mode.

I'm using WP 4.3.1 on a self-hosted site - language is german. It's a shared hosting from the biggest hosting company here in Austria and I've never ever experienced so much problems with any other plugin before. The support is very patient and helpful though but if we can't get it to work properly I will kindly ask for a refund. Anyway, still trying at the moment...

Hello,

I'm really sorry to hear about the issues you wore having I'm sure support will do the best to solve them in a timely manner. Also due to the inconvenience this might have caused you ill issue you a full refund immediately and you can keep the plugin for free once support or one of our coders gets it to work as it should with your setup :)

I've sent you a PM, will be waiting for the reply!

Hi, I saw the PM you sent me a minute earlier than your post above and as the PM is a general pre-sales question I'll answer it here.

The reason that we prefer that pre-sales questions are asked on the thread rather than via a PM is that so other BHW members can benefit from the answer as well. It makes for an efficient system of providing the same information/answers that many others will want to know/be asking.

So, to answer your questions about there being a tutorial on using the plugin. You can check out the user video guide for the Like Jacker at http://likejackninja.com/video-user-guide/ and it's recommended that the video is watched before using the plugin.

There is also a user PDF guide at http://likejackninja.com/FB_Like_Jacking_Ninja_Best_Practice_Guide.pdf that recommends settings for the Like Jacker based on different circumstances.

If you have ANY problems setting up and using the Like Jacker, or have any questions, our dedicated support team are on hand to help you. Submit a ticket at http://webuildtools.com/helpdesk/

And to answer your other question about if the Likes disappear over time. The Likes the Jacker gets are from real FB users rather than accounts that were created with bots. As FB announced that it was culling dormant accounts (such as bot accounts) people realised that Likes they had bought from bot accounts would be removed.

The benefit of Like Jacking is that the Likes are from real FB users which means FB won't be culling these types of account en-mass so you won't wake up a week from now to find you have lost a ton of your Likes :)

I hope that answers your questions but please do post a reply here if you have any others.

Thanks, Shez

So what's better?

Web likes or Page likes?

I can see there's an advantage and disadvantage to both.

Web likes - Creates viral traffic but how much? I know someone has asked you this but can you give an average number per 100 likes? Likes do appear in the newsfeed because I see them all the time and the only way to get rid of them is to create lists.

Page likes - Build an army of ad clicking ninjas, but how many people see you page in their newsfeed after and click unlike or report as spam? Generally my posts are quite interesting and the page has been going for several years but would be nice to know a ratio of unlikes complaints etc

Thanks D

This looks perfect for my needs.

A few questions:

My facebook page is a couple of years old, but I haven't put much into it. I have 28 likes and putting together my marketing plan. I would only want USA likes as my service/product is only for USA residents.

How would I set that up properly?
My traffic is not much, less than a 1000 a month. What would be the best setup for me?

Thanks!

Also, I'm not super techy. Is there a resource or FAQ for inputting the Facebook IP addresses if "they come snooping around"? How do you know if they're "snooping" and how do you get their IP?

Wouldn't it be safe to just have all of those IP addresses already set in the plugin?

Thanks again!

very interesting tool!! might buy it soon

Let me know when you're ready and I'll send you a 50% discount code if we're still offering them - Thanks, Shez

Hi, every website is different and it all depends on the traffic the site receives. It is impossible to give you an idea of how many Likes you'd need to send your web content viral as that kind of algo info is locked up inside of FB. As for the Page Likes question, that is also equally hard to provide a figure on too. The vast majority of FB users don't know they have been Like Jacked and if your FB page is related to the site where you are Like Jacking then most users just tend to accept that they must have Likes that site or FB page at sometime or another as it is of interest to them.

The issues of people raising the question of "why am I seeing this persons updates in my news feed" is when your site (where you Like Jacking) is about dog breeding and the FB page that you're Jacking the Likes for is about hair extensions. When you update your FB page with news about hair extensions the people you have Like Jacked at your site about dog breeding will have zero interest in your FB page and are likely to either Unlike your page or hit the complaint button.

Keep everything related and you'll be fine. Don't Like Jack traffic of one interest for a FB page about a totally unrelated interest :)

Thanks, Shez

If you set your FB page to only be available to USA FB users then the Jacker won't be able to Jack Likes to your page from any other traffic other than USA traffic. It's a pretty smart plugin :)

When it comes to setting up the number of Likes to Jack then it is more of a case of how many Likes does your FB page have now, how active has the page been with receiving Likes and how old is the page. Every case is different. Look at it from the point of view "Would suddenly getting xx number of Likes per day from an external site to my FB page look odd to FB"?

That is the question you must ask yourself before you set the number of Likes to Jack each day. From there you can then set up the Jacker to only Jack a certain percentage of your traffic each day so that you don't exceed the number of Likes that FB would raise an eyebrow of suspicion at.

Thanks, Shez

There is a very detailed user video guide as well as a PDF guide for the Jacker. We offer full support via our support desk too so that you're not left wondering what to do or stuck :) As for the IP's that is something we don't have which is why it's not already built in to the Jacker. FB will change the IP's of their staff on a very regular basis so once a list was made public it would be out of date very quickly.

The best way to avoid getting caught is to follow our advice in the user video, the PDF and the wealth of info I have added in to this thread.

Thanks, Shez

I noticed that the pdf said that some Themes don't work with the plugin. I use Divi and Salient for my sites. Does it work well with those themes? Also, where can I find a walkthrough or a video on examples of how it activates on images, videos, CSS IDs, Buttons, etc.?

Thanks

Hi, I have never tried those themes and due to the 100,000's of themes available is is impossible for us to test every theme for compatibility with the Jacker. However, with the themes which prevent the Jacker from working correctly it is usually just a case that they prevent some of the Jacking options from working. We found that when that is the case, choosing the modal box jacking option solves the issue.

There isn't a walk thorough for using it on images, videos etc as it is just a case of choosing those as the Jacking options (as shown in the video guide). As for the CSS. Again, this is covered in the video guide and it is just a case of selecting the ID from your CSS of your WP theme.

However, I actually don't recommend using CSS or just images or videos when it comes to Like Jacking and here's why. Out of the total number of visitors who come to your site there are a certain percentage who will bounce away without clicking anywhere on your site. If your bounce rate is 50% then that's half of your traffic who will never get Like Jacked.

So this leaves you with half your traffic to Like Jack. Of this percentage some obviously won't be logged in to their FB account so those will be ignored by the Jacker as they can't be Like Jacked. So now you're left with an even smaller percentage of your traffic for Like Jacking and if you set the Jacker to only Jack them if they click on an image (as an example) then you need to take in to account how many of the qualifying visitors will actually take that action.

It can drastically reduce your Like Jacking results. This is why I always opt for the Modal Box jacking option as it catches those who would ordinarily bounce away from your site simply because when the Modal Box appears the natural reaction of the visitor is to want to close that box before doing anything else. And that is exactly what you want them to do.

Even if they then leave your site a few seconds later after taking no other action at least you were able to Like Jack them :)

It's worth thinking about when getting the best results possible from Like Jacking.

Thanks, Shez
