Also agree on the meta description part. That being said meta description does help with CTR since that's what people see on the serps.

absolutely put the keyword in the meta description. Many could tell you otherwise but the fact is you are optimizing for 1-2 keywords at most. As long as it makes sense, the keyword needs to be there in desctiption.

But for what purpose? You can preach about how "you have to do this" and "you have to do that", but no SEO can ever tell you why. Its hard to find an SEO that doesn't just rehash shit they heard some noob on Moz say.

I have never set meta description, is this maybe a problem?

As for description, i think its better to not set them because, google will randomly pick the keywords people are searching in the Google, then shows that under your domain URL, im wrong???????
