I've made videos and had quite a few thousand views on some of them, but I'll be honest, I have no idea how people make money on Youtube and I was curious, how much do you guys make and how do you make it?
Is it made through clicks on ads? Or do you get paid when the videos are viewed so many times?
Sorry for the noob question, I just enjoy making how-to videos and wondered how the monetising actually works so figured i'd ask the experts

i have about 1200 subs and over 280k total views (i got partnership when i had 100k) and i only made little more than 100 dollars

does anyone have advice how i can make more? i am student and i need some extra money...i do not even need much, 100$ a month would be more than enough
