How much money do you make on YouTube?

I've made videos and had quite a few thousand views on some of them, but I'll be honest, I have no idea how people make money on Youtube and I was curious, how much do you guys make and how do you make it?
Is it made through clicks on ads? Or do you get paid when the videos are viewed so many times?
Sorry for the noob question, I just enjoy making how-to videos and wondered how the monetising actually works so figured i'd ask the experts

I use to make $200+ a month with youtube and clickbank. Not anymore though. But soon I'll get that going again.

Well , it really depends upon your Hard Work and Determination. I made around 100$ from a fresh channel in 2 months and you can even make more , Its like a Big stone over a hill's edge you just have to give it a big push and after that it will roll on its on.

and about the monetization it depends upon the Views mainly , just an estimation 1000 views = 1$ , it can increase as your channel grow but at first its like that.

also, if you buy license, and in future if you have a lot subscribes, and views you will be earn more USD for views, because, you video will be content more advertising

I was thinking beauty - nail art
I've done how to skate vids in the past but I thought the beauty route might be more mainstream and get more views

I have many probably 15 or 20 videos of sexy girls dancing and lots of subscribers not sure how many but it's not over 150 I don't think, my top video has been up maybe 3 months and has around 21,500 views. I am in the same boat as you when it comes to monetization though, I don't have a clue although I try to put some links in the description it seems like people rarely click on them. I know how to make links clickable on the videos but it still seems like a bummer. I guess some things are better off left to the experts!

Youtube,sadly as a monetization platform is saturated as hell and requires to be talented in social skills if you want your channel to grow big, and earn some decent income, there is no other way...
As a traffic source though...you just need to know your stuff

Earnings going up pretty good since I've enabled all the ads on my videos. This is from 2 legit youtube accounts ive been working on for over 2 years now! It takes a while but once you get 10k views a day you are set up

try adsense + amazon associates then

put the amazon links to beauty articles you use in your videos in the description box and earn comission
