Paypal message Is this good or bad?

They are doing their due dilligence to ascertain the facts, it's neither good nor bad.

many, many problems with his story

1. A real experienced gold buyer would own a $10 test that can test for gold purity without damaging the metal. Fake gold is also easy to spot since gold is so dense (twice as dense as lead) so even if you make a fake gold coin that looks exactly like the real thing, it will weigh much less. (Tungsten is almost as dense as gold but tungsten is shiny white and has qualities that make it a bad gold substitute)

2. No real large gold buyer buys their metal on eBay. You can buy metal for lower markup from a large gold dealer directly than on eBay.

3. No real large gold buyer uses paypal. You can buy all the gold bullion you want for 2% above spot price. Paypal fees are more than that.

4. eBay will force a pretty much automatic refund for NAD claims; no need to file forged paperwork. i'm guessing he's trying to scam the seller by trying to get a paypal refund (eBay will tell him to return the coins before they will force the buyer to refund) and not returning the coins. VERY common scam in designer clothes and shoes, because paypal policy on fake clothes and shoes is that the buyer should dispose of them, and don't have to return to seller.

5. There are few outright fake gold listed on eBay, since gold is pretty much impossible to fake if you know what to look for. What's much more common is fake numismatic coins that have the right gold content but is not from the time period

1) I did test the gold hence, how I know it is fake.

2) I buy my gold from who I please too. Its my money, i find it more convenient buying online.

3)Same as #2

4) I already tried opening a case via ebay, but since I checked out as a guest they redirected me and told me to open it via paypal which I did. You sure talk alot about scams like you have experience. I make a good living and invest in gold, I dont need to scam. If you do thats you, but dont tell me about your bad habits.

5)Its easy too tell in person if the gold is fake. When there are only pictures to go off of it is damn near impossible.

6) Your really not helping, your just putting words in my mouth, you keep on bringing up SNAD claims and telling em to do it like I havent tried.

Ive told you a million times, ive already opened up a snad claim and ebay told me to work it out with paypalm which is what i am doing and paypal is requesting documentation.

it's too late now, but it was a mistake to forge the evidence, you should have go the honest way and hire an independent third party to do the appraisal like paypal asked and pay their fee, now you'll lose the whole $900 most probably not just $700

but if you want to pursue it further, you can make a criminal case out of it, selling fake gold is a felony in most countries

How do you figure that i will lose the case? I would of went through an independent party to appraIse it but i threw away the coins.

because they didn't accept what you sent as evidence, plus i think they think your evidence was a bit shady to say the least and now it seems, you won't be able to provide what they ask for at all, if you threw away the fakes

paypal told you exactly what they need -> you're failing to provide that-> no evidence -> paypal will side with the seller more than likely

If they thought it was shady wouldnt of they found the case in the sellers favor? Thy told me to resubmit it so i did because thy couldn't read it.

i put a lot of time into the documents i didnt just through something together and submit it

B-U-L-L-C-R-A-P

You didn't even know that a cheap reliable test for gold content even existed before I told you.

I knew about it, i didnt test it that way, i find it quicker to acid test an magnet test it, it failed both of those

i don't question that, but what matters that they didn't accept it and now you can't even submit a legit evidence anymore, telling the truth i don't really see any way out of this and the time is ticking

I wouldnt be be able to get legit evidence since i got rid of the coins,

next time ine it hunk im just gunna lie and say i got. 6 nickels instead to advoid this headache

So let me get this straight. You spend a lot of money ($900 from what I'm reading) on some gold coins, discovered they were fake, filed a claim with paypal who requested evidence and then threw the coins (only evidence you had) away!! Who in their right mind would throw away $900 worth of evidence?

Yeah, sounds real legit to me. You're either a kid without a clue or a scammer.

Honestly isnt the first time I had to open up a claim. First for gold, but ive bought laptops, tvs, headphones, designer clothes.

Everyone once in a while you will have an issue or receive something defective. So you would need to open a case.

I open on average 10-20 cases a year, keep in mind i bought lots of stuff and might have 300-500 transactions a year on ebay.

Everytime I opened a case, paypal or ebay has never made me give them proof or evidence. They always take my word for it, this is the first time i received something counterfeit though. So maybe the defective claims they dont need proof, but the counterfeit they do? I dont know but anyways i assumed i wouldnt need to prove anything to paypal.

So I dug myself into a hole here, I put a lot of work into this letter I sent ebay. Its 1 1/2 pages, with a real gemologist I dont know with my phone number and my email that paypal has never seen. With a good looking signature on the bottom.

With a nice header of one of the most reputable jewelers in the midwest.

Paypal always sides with the buyer in my cases, ive never lost one. I feel like I will win, im hoping. Someone said I will probably lose, I beg to differ, if I do, i do. I will learn from my mistakes, but you cant blame me, this isnt the first case ive opened and im pretty experienced as a ebay buyer.

I think ebay caught on to me maybe because I open too many cases but again, when you do 300-500 transactions a year, opening 10-20 isnt that bad.

I resubmitted the document last night and I am waiting for a response.

I think ebay and paypal caught on to my address. Is there anyway around this other than moving? I already have a po box? Is there like a package forwarding service?

No matter how many cases you have opened/won/lost etc if you have received fake goods which were purported to be genuine then it is straightforward case of fraud, financial gain by deceptive means!

Nobody, especially someone who is as experienced as you claim to be would throw away $900 worth of evidence when it could be reported not only to Paypal/eBay as you say you have but it can also be reported to the relevant legal authorities as fraud is a very serious offence in just about any country.

Sorry but I, like everyone else here do not believe a word of this story!!!
