Reputation Management Section on BHW?

Reputation management and SEO have some similarities and some major differences, I would like to propose a section that is devoted to the practice and learning relating specifically to reputation management.

Reputation management is to public relations as SEO is to marketing. They are similar, but the end goal is different.

If you, members of BHW are interested in reputation management and would like a section devoted to the implementation, practice, tips, techniques, finding clients, closing deals, pricing, outsourcing, white labeling, and more, vote Yes.

I would be happy to moderate this section so it doesn't become a burden to the existing mods who have their hands full.

Discussions would be focused on the complete life cycle of reputation management from acquiring clients, pricing, closing deals, accepting payment, monthly vs one time fees, web 2.0's, newspaper content, high quality articles, link building, reporting, campaign management, finishing the work, upselling the client and more. If you didn't notice, that's my exact game plan for how I handle my business.

Absolutely. Great suggestion. Such a section will greatly benefit lots of members. A place to bounce ideas around and for people to learn about this industry. Like you said, there are many overlaps with SEO and Online marketing in general, but also unique methodologies and approaches. I for one would welcome such a forum section. Poll vote placed.

If I'm honest it's the kind of section I'd like to see in JR VIP or at least with some form of regulation on who can post. The SEO sections are spammed with irrelevant threads so I'd hate to see the same happen to a new section, that I would be active in.

We need to revive the discussions that are in decline in the SEO section and avoid the same fate if this new section is to go ahead. I think a lot of people would come out of their caves if the section had some form of post requirement to curb spam.

Overall though, I'm definitely for it.

The problem with Jr VIP is there are a lot of people who are no Jr. VIP's that could benefit and add expertise. I'm friends with a guy who owns one of the largest reputation management companies in the world, his BHW account has 18 posts. We would be excluding someone with real world expertise.

Regarding post requirements I think the whole point of a reputation management section is to help people. I think of 7878's method and how many countless people have taken action and made money as a result. If it were in JR. VIP hundreds of people wouldn't have been able to start a biz in RM.

Just my thoughts, it should be open to all.
