Ive made money from pintrest before as well, I have heard rumors that pintrest is about to implement policy about images not matching links like a purse picture leading to a youtube channel or something, so be mindful.

IMO it's really hard, as most user are only there to pin/repin/see images and not enter in the website unless they're really interested on it (which doesn't seem to be the case in most cases).

Someone correct me if wrong, though.

Are you putting up quality items? I have ~300 followers and I'm getting 20-30 visits a day. No sales so far, but according to analytics they're browsing through multiple pages on the site. What's interesting is I'm starting to gain followers that I didn't follow and the majority of them have a large following (+3k). So far have followed around ~2500 users. Will update if I start seeing some sales...

Nice, happy to see this. I have around 4k now, been slacking on inviting, but I'm about to start pinning pics. How many do you pin a day?

Hey, they seemed like good quality items to me, but IDK. Also, I'm not quite sure about the % of people that are following me because of the same reason I follow people, but I would say more than 90% are legit followers, which makes it strange to me.

I'm doing this 100% manually so it really depends on what else I'm working on. I try to get in 10-20 a day though. Right now I have 120 pins through 8 or so boards. Would like to get around 50 in each board minimum.

But after reading this thread, I'm considering changing things up. At the very least pinning other images besides the ones on my site...

Here's how I went about following and I'm not sure if it will help or not. Say I am putting a lot of Gucci items on my site and pinning those images. I go to Pinterest and search the term Gucci. I then click on Pinners and find the Gucci brand pinterest account (currently has roughly 28k followers). I click to view their followers and start following those people. That way for sure I know they are going to be interested in the stuff I have pinned.

For my profile I just used a picture of a model and the name is set to my website (it's two words). I'm more trying to be a purveyor of fashionable items, but if you check out the link I posted up above I'm really thinking of changing this method up. Or starting a new account to follow that method while I continue to build this out.

Great post and thanks for linking to it. Guess I'm also going to take that route and build this up slowly. Seems like a better option for promoting more sites in the future and a different approach for better results.

Thank you for sharing.
I have a few good ideas. Does anybody have some stats?

My thought now is to continue to build this account out with my own pins. I'm going to create a new one with a picture of a real person and a real name. Repin a bunch of fashion items from other sources and every once in a while repin something from my original account (after getting a good amount of followers). I've found a string of accounts that look 'natural' but they do have some of their affiliate linked stuff in there.

Mona Anderson

They all have 7-8k followers. You can see how they all have the same kind of setup going on. There are a ton more (some with the same exact profile description) that also have the same setup. These accounts look a lot less suspect and at first I thought they were just a normal pinner :)

I'm a little confused about the blogging part.

I'm brand spanking new to Black Hat.

Would someone be better off just making an Amazon astore?

If I don't sound sophisticated here, please excuse me.

It seems like making a blog is an extra step.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the great idea:)
i just want to clarify it in my head. about step 11, following to my 75/100 pins a day do i need to add 75/100 new Products to my blog?
if so, it sound like a lot of work i should find a way to automate it;)

Nice method there! I have always been curious about pinterest marketing.

Always thought to make something from amazon, Finally something looks convincing.

Raza will you share some of your boards so we can see what they are looking like?

excuse me if i sound stupid but i really want to know how do you extract image from amazon? and how do you get so many pictures of the same item?

I tried to copy images from amazon before but the size is too small and low in quality.
