Site Not Being Ranked By Google

4 days ago I did Long-Tail Keyword research, got an EMD, bought hosting, wrote original content (about 5 pages of writing w/keywords), put 1 block of Google Adsense on each page, and posted Amazon Affiliate links on every page except 1. I coded the site in HTML/CSS myself and think it looks professional.

However, despite all of this I have yet to be ranked by google and am experiencing 0 traffic.

What do I need to do... or what can I do to get Google to rank me and start the flow of MONEY?

Other than purchasing from sites like Flippa, how would I procure a domain like that?

If you could just put up sites and put ads on them and have Google magically give you traffic for free then we would all be rich.

You need backlinks and your journey has just begun. This is not something that will take 4-5 days it will take much longer. I suggest you start reading all about backlinks and go from there.

I understand, but I figured that I would wait for Google to rank me and then build backlinks from there.

I was thinking that it would give some idea of how many backlinks and how powerful my backlinks needed to be.

I'm not expecting a good ranking without backlinks, but I was expecting "a" ranking.

Is it normal not to be ranked by google at all without backlinks?

I heard linking youtube videos back to your site will rank them in under 24 hours.

Edit: Also, it took me about a month and 20-30 articles to be "ranked" anywhere close to seeing some decent impressions without backlinks.

I would do that, but other than text/audio I can't think of any ideas for a video.

I'd just try to be a bit more patient if I were you. Ranking and indexing takes time for new sites.

I just really want to get indexed/ranked asap so I can start improving the site based on user interaction/traffic numbers.

It's frustrating not being able to do anything...

Also, any idea of how much longer I need to wait?

Dude it's only been a few days.

Plus you have done no promotion. Even if it is a "long-tail" keyword, you will probably have to do more than just write content to start the "flow of money"

Also why do you have to wait? No reason to wait on making improvements to your site.

How long do you usually wait for a site to be indexed/ranked?

Also, like I said before, I want to make educated improvements based on traffic, conversions, etc.

It's possible to rank without backlinks but in a lot of cases you won't rank without them. It really just depends on a lot of things. There's no point in waiting. You can even build backlinks before your site is indexed, it will probably make it index faster.

You need to wait at least two, three weeks, you can't have ranked site in 4 days.. Be patient

Thanks, I guess building backlinks is my best option then. I think I'm also going to keep adding content to see if that helps.

Well, that makes me feel a little better. I'm anxious as this is my first "real" SEO project.

Also, just submitted my site to google webmaster tools and submitted a xml sitemap... well see if that does anything. And like I said I'll be backlinking and adding more content which will hopefully get me indexed, ranked and on my way to turning a profit.

The question first is, is your site indexed. To check this type site:yourwebsiteurl
it'll list the amount of pages indexed. If nothing shows up, use the method in the post made by pumama (advanced search posts by his exact username. it says Index your sites in 0 seconds.) it works perfectly, you don't even have to have that autoblog plugin. All you need to do is embed a youtube video in one of your posts, then use the video xml plugin to send it to google then ping it. I got my site purchase, dns transfered, wordpress installed, and indexed in less then 90 minutes. (I'm not as fast as the guy in the video.)

You can't get ranked within 4 days.. Keep on build quality links which looks natural to the eyes of google, then be patient for some days.. You will get ranking for sure..

There is some truth to the youtube thing - if you do it right.

I can index a BRAND NEW (less than 1 hour old) site in under 10 min.

The youtube index method has been shared a few times on BHW....

I see now the Youtube trick is for indexing - not ranking - that's cool. You can also just share it on Google+ and it will index pretty quickly.
