when i try to open custom poster,it shows cannot communicate with scrapebox .I see a number of other guys face it
i run scrapebox in a folder and it has write permission. Moreover,i run it fine a few days ago from the same folder without any issue
how to fix it
The poster and scrapebox use IPC (inter process communication) to communicate. If an anti-virus, malware checker, firewall or similar security program interferes then you will get this issue. So make sure you set scrapebox as allowed in all security programs and the addon also.
Then you can try closing down any unneeded software to see if there is some conflict there.
I've purchased Scrapebox license. I get my troubles when I'm going to activate my software.
I use my credit card to check out, don't have a Paypal account.
I just received my Receipt No of the transaction, not TRANSACTION ID.

You use your Receipt Number. The full 16 numbers including the dashes, just copy and paste it
I have scrapebox in my local computer. Can i use the same for the VPS ?
As noted by donaldbeck you would need a second license. However if you want to go that route you can get it for a discounted price of $45. Just contact support for the method to do that if you want another license.
So I guess it's the only way to send this error log file to support. But have the custom poster get any update? It was introduced with v1.16 and I have not seen any update since then.
The custom poster has had 4 updates since it came out, its on V 1.0.0.4 and started on 1.0.0.0. You can mail log files to support at

Just download it on the new machine and unzip it and run it. Then click activate and fill in the details. Here is a copy and paste of a mail from support:
To transfer to another PC or update your license after a re-install, you just need to download ScrapeBox to the PC you wish to activate it on, run it and enter your original purchase details and submit them. I'll deactivate your old details, and update your license with the new info.

I lowered the connection to 50 in link checker and it also closes as before.After the new version of custom poster release,i don't have the error issue
Do you get an error box when the poster closes? Click don't send/close and it will save the report in the addons folder inside your scrapebox folder. Its bugreport.txt. Mail it to
