Hey BHW,

It's been a while since I made a 'how-to' thread.
Past few months I have been looking into pinterest and been reading a lot on BHW as well.

My experiences (in short)
No low quality; 1 account, thousands of images, QUALITY

My method
Have a quality and brand-able account, also have 1 verified website (very clean, professional, e-commerce or something)
Upload hundred QUALITY, HD & GREAT images to your pinterest boards
Keep your account clean, don't follow spammers/fake accounts.
Make sure you get targeted followers (UK/US = buyers)

That simple?
I had about 100-200 pinterest accounts running at a certain time, on my custom pinterest bot.
But I realized I had about 800-1000 visitors per day to my website from only ONE account.
Unfortunately I overdid few things and that account got banned (and now almost no visitors).

Final answer
Everything depends on your strategy, whether you go for 1000 accounts, but for me 1 account was already enough to get XX$/day

Monetize
Amazon, CJ, CB, your own products, dropship,...

Don't forget
Make sure you make an email list of you traffic, create a popup asking for their name/email, etc...

Time
1-3 months (for me it was all on auto-pilot)

Tools
Learn C# or buy some pinterest bot on BHW
Proxies? Not anymore, hundreds of pinterest accounts are not my favorite anymore
There are AMAZING tools in the download section to get great images for your boards, etc...

Business strategy
Don't go crap if you started quality, my biggest mistake of getting banned
Don't spam your boards with cloaked links to amazon products (only short term solution)

Feel free to comment & ask questions.

And yes, you can make 10-100$/day EASILY with this, just follow my steps but do them BETTER or different.

How exactly did you grow your follower base though?

Follow max 100 users per day

Upload 1000 images per day

People will like/share/repin your images <-- you gain more followers

My account had about 3-5k followers which isn't a lot!!
But the traffic came from the viral & quality images :)

Agree..I Tested it with 1 Site and Now I gets 500 per day Visits from Pinterest..Site currently not have any ads or anything..But I realized too that it works with 1 Proper Account Good way..as compared to 10 -20 Accounts..

Hi,

I thought about using pinterest for a while, but I have to say that this thread convinced me to take action
I have few questions :
- You didn't mention that you repin/like/comment other people images, do you think it's useless to do that?
- Did you have some experiences with Adsense?
- Is there any copyright infringement to upload so many images on your website and your Pinterest account?

Thanks!!

Indeed,
I had about 150 accounts running, each has about 3000-5000 pins in just a week or two, but that didn't bring me traffic, also the amount of followers is only 1% from the total following rate- useless.
Quality >>>>>> quantity

Hey

I didn't mention that, but it is a MUST, you must stay active you must like/repin & comment (my bot does that)
I have experience with adsense, but only a little
You can upload what ever you want, but people will/can complain if you upload copyrighted stuff and it will be removed

I am wondering about one thing though:

What are the benefits of creating a business pinterest account VS a usual one?

As I Know Pinterest States that if you wanna use your account for commercial purposes you should own a business account and accept their TOS for business accounts,if you own a business which you want to gear up with pinterest and take to next level i advice you to have a business account,it will also give you your business name or your website name in the profile instead of name in personal account, which is pretty helpful in spreading out word and reputation about your business and its very easy to convert your present personal account to a business account,it just takes some minutes.

Lastly,
there's no notably big difference between personal and business account.
Its how we deal with it either its personal or business account,As the op Says if you spam you'll you'll be banned,

If you engage correctly, add value to your account and followers, then pinterest is pretty enough for your traffic needs.

Can you give some ideas how we can monetized it?

This question has already been answered at least 2 times in my original post.
Have a good website with either Adsense or (affiliate) products and an email list

Quick question (sorry if it's a stupid one :p), what is your method for posting links when pinning? Basically, how do you not get your website blacklisted for spam when posting 100s of links to the same site?

I'm not too familiar with pinterest, but I remember reading about someone getting their website blacklisted for spam.

Is there any bot to do this? Posting 1000 times a day is A LOT.

Yeah, good question!

This was one of my mistakes with my big account that got banned, and now that domain is blacklisted for whole pinterest haha,

Make sure you don't over-use it, or you can watermark images.
Don't put the URL in the description for starters I guess.

just look like a real person & u'll do fine

Yes, as my Original posts says: "there are many people on BHW selling pinterest bots", I coded my own so can you

and you don't have to do Thousands of pins daily....

from only 200-300 pins/day I already got VERY nice traffic

Would you suggest using a Wordpress plugin to Pin your posts? I'm a little confused at exactly what you do. You're posting image that link back to your website that has a buy page? If so do you post different image that go to the same page? I just joined Pinterest yesterday for the reason of driving traffic and I don't really understand how to use the site.

great method, I actually made a sell on ebay by someone who saw it on pinterest. I haven't been that focused on pinterest but I've noticed an increase in repins by using hashtags as well

Great post! Agreed 100%. I've been saying this for a while, there is no need to have 1000 accounts. To be honest, I have 1-3 brandable, legitimate accounts under three separate niches, with three separate websites, and three separate social media channels connected to each (via IFTTT.com or TarPipe.com).

Have a targeted pinterest account, and then a good website.
Send your traffic to the website, gather their email/name/likes/etc.
If your site is an ecommerce, make sure u have a lot of products they can choose from (dropship or affiliates such as CJ)

repeat :)

Haven't heard that advice on BHW yet! :D
thank you

Can you give example of targeted account?

if you go to pinterest, and you go to a certain category, example: "food"
search for someone who has few boards with food pictures, lol :)

you said you get a lot of traffic.... how many unique visitors per day is a lot?
