Tips for getting pages viral?

So I have a Facebook page that has good content that is updated 4-8 times a day (sometimes more). However, it only has ~510 likes (at this moment). It does, however, organically get 10-20 likes a day, and up to 100 likes a day if I send invitations.

However, I think my page has the potential to be as big as "I Fucking Love Science", quality content. Each post gets 20-30 likes (which is quite well for just 510 likes). Why do some pages go viral, and some don't? Some pages with shitty content go viral, where as some do not, that have good content.

The basic question is; What makes certain pages go viral, and how can I increase the chances of mine going viral?

Btw, by Facebook Page, I mean those novelty pages. I am looking at guides and instructions, and they're mainly targeted towards "spam" pages (for blackhat) or pages for products and companies. I'd like to know how to get a novelty page to go viral.

You have to make pictures that goes viral with text ( Hit 'Like' if you think..).

Persistence and some luck. Rather going viral I think your best bet is to invest in quality posts and aggregate rather than swinging for the fences. Then you have a chance of catching that one viral page.

The best way to learn for you is to look at the activity of big fanpages. What kind of things they are posting, how many posts each day and so on. This way you can easily figure out how to go viral.

I do have REALLY good photos, all of them engage. I get like 100 likes a week organic. It's 3 months old and only has 640 likes. However it is growing faster and faster. However, I know it has the potential to do better.

You have to make some really different among other photos, posts, videos etc. that could catch people's attention. A very interesting news story is an example.
