Hey I am new to affiliate marketing and what not and have been in a program with videos and live webinars for about a week or so and was wondering if some people would mind leaving some feedback on my steps and actions so far.
I have found some products on clickbank and have made my niche in income from home (ebusiness/emarketing). I bought a domain and tried to forward it to a product page for about two days but wasn't seeing any results so i stepped it up a bit said f*** the cost and got hosting for the domain and made it into a product review site with about 4 products on it at the moment. I had this going for about 2 days now and have not seen any sales coming in yet. I have made a youtube video talking about the site and uploaded that today also but no views yet :( lol.. I know it takes hard work and motivation to get started and make your first sale but was mainly wondering what you all thought of this approach and if you had any tips to help me make some sales, as this is what i really want to do with my future.
Thanks!

Basically you chose the exact same as everyone and their dog!
(That is to say: you will be fighting against huge competition, which can't be easy for a beginner)

Just because you have a website up doesn't mean you will automatically make sales.
Don't forget their are at least two more steps in the process before you get sales: get traffic to your site, and convert these visitors into buyers.

I highly doubt you 2 days old site got many visitors already, so it obviously couldn't make sales yet!

Anyway don't just give up now because you've not even really got started, you only scratched the surface. Internet Marketing is like any real job: money don't come by itself, you need to put some work into it.

Continue working on it, and different stuff to see what works and what doesn't for you. When something doesn't work, try to analyze what you've done to understand why it didn't work and how you can make it better.

Just don't stop here, your first sales will be coming soon :)

Setting up a website is one part of the equation. You were supposed to do keyword research first but well you can do that now as well. So what you need to do now is find a keyword with few or no competition. If you don't know how to do that then you can search around on the forum, there are many guides that you can follow. Once you've found your keyword, you need to optimize your website for it, again there are many guides on bhw on how to do that. Next you need to build some backlinks to your website. Here's a good strategy shared by a fellow bhw member

Ok so the word income has low competition and 19 million search's a month. Is that good?

Incomegold, dont use broad search results use "exact match" and see what the traffic is. I think every newbie has made this mistake!
