watch a serie/show before you go to sleep to get your mind of things :)

Take camomile tea few hrs before bed, it works.

You should avoid computers and televisions one hour before you plan to go to sleep. Worked for me.

From experience, set an early time to rise. Work hard all day no matter how tired. Repeat. Go to bed at a time 6 or 7 hours before your alarm is set to wake you, no phone laptop tv or anything in bed, lights off, stare at blackness till sleep. Repeat.

Bonus add excercise and good diet.

Negative, drink / drug yourself to sleep for years.

I have done all of these, do not do the third.

What you need is some good old rohypnol.

Yups, can relate to this.

OP - have kids and trust me - you will fall asleep whenever you want ( actually whenever your kids let you sleep, which is almost never )

wait till you have kids......4 hour sleep is past "dream" :-)

Sounds like stress. ^^^ Need to switch off way before sleep time and learn to "relax" I never swith my computer on now past 6pm.

sex can help....with person or D.I.Y. (if forced to only)

l have the same problem. ln my case l have wife and kid so l love to spend the day time with themand when they go to sleep is when l really concentrate on lM. the result is l sleep an average of 5 hours per day, which is bad for wealth. anyway body gets used to this routine

for the past couple of months I have been sleeping very badly, sleeping late like 10 AM / 1 AM.

I know that there are a lot of things on my mind, my brain doesn't stop working...

Any suggestions on how i can resolve this issue ?

Another vote for see a doctor. A good one will help you resolve the mind racing issues at night. If they just want to prescribe sleeping pills, get another doc. Weed is also good. Best way to force a nights sleep for me is Nyquil.

I have been experiencing this myself over the last two years of IM. You need to just set up a schedule where you always sleep at a certain time. And an hour before the sleep time try reading a book in your bed you'll pass out eventually as long as your not on the computer or tv. I have also tried meditating just breathing in an out in the dark room and it has helped.

IM ruins the sleeping habits..

either have sex.. or masturbate like 3-4 times at once..

this helps :P

You need a new Girl Friend mate :)

And stop smoking :-|

I've had it since I was 14 and I'm now 23 and I haven't found a long term solution. Sleeping tablets work great for a week, then they wear off and you have to start taking more than 1 a night.

If you have been having it for longer than 6ish months that's the only way doctors will give you sleeping tablets (well, in the UK anyway) otherwise the only other option to slow your mind down is Valium (which not many people would advise). Exercise might work for you, but for me I could go skateboarding all day and it doesn't slow me down at all.

I've got problems waking up too, I have to rely on someone to literally wake me up everyday. If I'm left I could wake anywhere between 1pm - 9pm and as a result of this I can't have a 'normal' job and trying to make a living with IM.

I hope you get it sorted, I know how horrible it is.
