zmoker, your design needs some work. You may be getting good click thru rates, but you'd get even more with a better design.

You asked for our opinions, so take them into consideration don't get too upset with the responses, they are intended to help.

Wow...lots of opinions on this thread but not many facts. One thing I learned a long time ago is that my opinion doesn't mean shit.

After a few months of getting my ass kicked trading commodities it finally occurred to me that the market really doesn't think much of my opinion. Once I was smart enough to figure it out (actually a good friend of mine suggested the concept to me), my investing luck changed.

The same concept applies here...put up 2 pages and split test them, then when one outperforms the other make some modifications and split test again. Eventually the marketplace will tell you what it wants.

All you have to do is get the traffic to it.

On a side note some of my butt ugliest pages have a higher conversion rate than the ones that "I think" look better

Well I always wanted to put some hot blonde girls on the site, it is a good idea yes, but I'm afraid that it can get me banned from adsense. It may sound stupid but i heard a bunch of guys say that they got banned from adsense just for putting sexy pics.

So I thought I'd better let the site this way then putting some sexy pics and risk a ban :/

Well said, I personally know a guy who did a stupid ugly site (uglier then mine lol) and ended up earning 7$ aday with very few traffic and then he sold it for a nice price. I think what happened was that most of the users that came to the site were so overwhelmed by its ugliness that they immediantly wanted to get out of it, and since the ads were the most good looking things in the site, they clicked on them. XD

I'm not trying to implement this method... I'm just testing some of the stuff I came up with. This site is not my main source of income. I make some good money from other stuff. In case any of you haven't noticed, with this site I'm trying to make money from something very easy with very little work.

the other thing I do is only give to 3 options to get off my page...click an ad, click the back button or click the "x".

the high conversion rate is because people don't find what they want on my page and human nature is to go forward not backwards.

With respect, if you don't listen to constructive criticism, why was the thread started?

I started this thread mainly to see what people think about my AD PLACEMENT and if the site is good enough to make money.

so maybe you can get your own design, or just keep it simple. ( but with simple I mean, make the site a bit nicer..not too much)

No offense but its making money because you posted it here and everyone feels bad for your webdesign skills and click the adsense ad to support you because we feel so sorry for you. Listen bro, the deisgn themagician came up with is golden, i say work with him if he is willing to help, boy has skils. And he did that while waiting at an airport... shit!

If your worried about adsende and 'adult' photos, screw adsense, there is much more out there than just big 'G'. We are giving you sugggestions and while you might thing the site is fine for now, in reality we are trying to help you improve it greatly to get new users and to enhance your earnings as time progresses.

And as for sophia's reply.... I am a business man, I maybe a "newbie" in this forum and maybe a newbie in "web design" too, but I know when a guy is trying to sell something and there's nothing WRONG with it, I'm just saying what I think. A REAL GOOD business person will tease you with his products politley, so that you seek out to purchase them yourself.
I am not mocking themagician by saying this I'm just pointing out the truth. themagician is a great webdesigner and a great business man in my opinion.
