Now I know that Blogger and Wordpress are better in terms of blogging but I wanted to know if there is any hope for a Weebly based blogging site. Is there any hope at all? :dontknow:

if you give them a little love they can rank pretty good. i had one Weebly site ranking first page for a medium competition term so, you can do good things with them

they suck man. I have a weebly blog and it is hard to place the google ads on the sides and they dont let you add more than three ads. And their TOS is extremely strict. I mean they dont allow you to provide any seo services. And if they see something they don't like, they take immediate action and shut down your site with no warning or not even a refund.

So if you're looking to start a business with them then it is a big NOOO. But if you just want to host a small family or travel blog then that's the only thing it is okay for.

Thanks for the info man. Yes I am planning on making a blog about beautiful places around the world. I am still a bit doubtful but as of right now, I'm loving the features of Weebly. :)

Weebly also takes 50% of ad revenue as far as I know.

So I'm gonna assume traffic is quite bad if I use weebly right?

Weebly takes fifty percent of ad revenue while blogger is free and the earnings are 100 percent Yours. Plus you can move all Your Database to wordpress without losing anything. I'll Vouch For Blogger.

I also have a few Weebly blogs they are not bad looking and pretty user friendly. I use them as a spam filter. For example if you are going to test a ScrapeBox blast or something similar and need a place to point the links I usually use these Weebly blogs to make a 2 layer filter to my money site and had pretty good luck with it. The only thing with investing your time and effort on one of these blog sites is that you never know what the "Rocket Scientists" over at Google get a wild hair in their asses to de-index them or kill their ability to rank.

Oh man, I did not know they take 50% of your ad revenue? That sucks.... so spam filtering only for me :D Thanks for the info!

weebly have less features than blogger. Doing seo is also very tough on weebly.

go for blogger for best results ,if you want more than that go for wordpress.nothing can beat wordpress

Have used weebly to some success in the past, definitely not a s good as wordpress.com or blogger but definitely worth putting a 300-500 word article up to get that backlink.

Hi,

There are different opinion but to my mind and experience, Blogger is better than weebly.

Well said.
I am having a hell of a time getting my weebly sites ranked. The SEO is absolute garbage. You can't insert h1 tags so google doesnt know what your site is about. Only way is to find the h1 code and insert html into your site and change the CSS to make it look good. Its super annoying. Also they don't allow nofollow links on anchor text. Weebly is easy and attractive but ultimately a waste of time if you're looking to perform good SEO.

I have a couple Weebly sites and can say that since you are primarily using it for blogging I would go with Wordpress.com which can be migrated to a self hosted site pretty easy in the future.
