[METHOD] Stumbleupon and Amazon - Dynamic Duo for Residual Income

cool, so then designing the site like should you find a general niche for it and then manually 1 by 1 find products that would fit it?

Does anyone have a theme that they could suggest as a core for this? I can modify mine some but the best I've found so far is the Elegant eStore but as Azguru said, it def has a bit of a ecommerce feel to it... obviously. lol

If anyone has something better to start with, it would be appreciated. ;)

I use ThemeFuse writer for a few sites and set the homepage as the full width gallery like such:
Code:
http://themefuse.com/demo/wp/writer/work-portfolio-gallery-full/

The upside: it's a very upbeat, fun looking theme that is great for showcasing products. Also, it's available somewhere in the download section of this site.
The Downside: You Will have to enter each product manually because it is not an e-store theme

Cool site I love this part :

Ever wished your food would make your poop come out gold? Now you can make all your meals give off a golden shine with these edible food spray paints! Available in gold, silver, rot, and blue colors, this spray paint will make any dinner pop with color!

To the others reading this - the theme is already avail on BHW (here)

Thanks a lot man. I really appreciate your gratefulness

Thanks! the first method i have gotten excited about - domain bought and head spinning with ideas now! off to work i go.....

Great way to drive traffic and cash in.

I nice addition would be a plugin to fetch the affiliate links and price, and update them automatically from time to time. Especially for amazon, as they remain out of stock. I know I've seen such a plugin, however I can't find it now.

I just got my account suspended, apparently we're not allowed to promote our own sites? What did you do to get around this?

Yea... it would be nice if it would automagically update what we've already created but don't forget that if they use your link to go to Amazon and buy something else (within 24 hours'ish), you still get the 'commission'.

Haven't tried it yet... but my thoughts would be that if they did that, create another account via VM and Proxy and not only promote my site but others... just create better ones for mine of course. And use other social media as well. I know I have a couple of fake FB accounts that have a butt ton of friends... time to bring them back out... ;)

I've never had a problem with that and I post hundreds of pages from the same site. Try reevaluating the look of your site. Maybe it is too "commericial."
You can also try adding a couple different sites, or you can try making multiple accounts. Good luck

Thanks this is a great method, I've never managed to get any conversions through Amazon before so perhaps this will work.

Fantastic! The best thing about this site/method is that it's purely based on users' quality experience. Marketing at it's best.

One question though. I have heard that it's against Amazon's t&c that you cannot put a static price on products? Or is it that the price needs to be updated regularly?

And btw, this might be a stuppid question, but how do you actually find these interesting products on amazon?

Same Here...how do they come up with all those "things"?

Blindly browsing through amazon and etsy?

great share.. more flexible and innovative you are, more is the chance of earning big. Innovation is the key.
Thanks OP for sharing this.

regarding to the site content, are you guy doing it manually or what? like sitting back the whole day collecting bizarre stuff from Amazon and post to the site?
I was thinking about doing Pinterest for Amazon...

I was thinking about doing Pinterest for Amazon...

I do most of mine manually. It takes a lot of time, but it is worth it, in my opinion.

Pinterest and Amazon are difficult because Pinterest changes all affiliate links to their own affiliate ID.

I was thinking the same thing - I'm working on making my site - including creating some custom graphics but afterwards, of course I'm going to add them manually.

It seems to me that people are looking for a '1 button, push it and the site builds itself, gets promoted in Stumbleupon and send me cash'... it just DOESN'T work that way. IM is still WORK.

Exactly. This method requires a bit more thought and innovation then some other ones, but the ROI for your time will be amazing if done right.

Remember, you are creating a fun social experience for users, NOT just trying to make money. Of course, if you create a good enough social experience, the money will follow.

If you create a site that you, yourself wouldn't find amusing, then you're doing it wrong.

Already Working on this one! Great Share! Just one question - any advice on the Stumble Upon part ?
