[METHOD] Stumbleupon and Amazon - Dynamic Duo for Residual Income

Thanks azguru - i have my site up & running, with the addition of a fb page, pinterest, & twitter profiles to assist. I just need to do a little bit of css & function tweaking, but I should be 100% by tomorrow. really appreciate your assistance & insight. will keep everyone updated on my progress.

How much do you earn on non-holiday months? And how much daily traffic on average do you get?

Thanks for the insight. I recently set something like this up and am scratching my head how to get more users to the site. How many key words to you usually use for each entry to stumbleupon?

Ive been using an automated plugin "Nex Scripts: Social Networks Auto Poster" to immediately post the images & text to all relevant sites (i.e. twitter, fb, tumblr, pinterest, su). Has anyone seen success in using this to help drive traffic to their site? Or is it better to do the uploading manually to ensure proper tagging & keywords?

I have gone over this thread and I maybe didn't read the answer, but what is the solution to the price changes. Is there a pluging that auto updates the Amazon prices? And azguru are you even showing the prices, since you want your site to be user experience driven and not give the shopper feeling?

The guy who created that site did a few amas on reddit. Pretty interesting and he clears middle 6 figures a year with it. Also, there is a theme called grid portfolio which is pretty easy to modify to something like this. I have a similar site that I started about a month ago.

Great idea, I have a couple niche sites I may have to reformat and try this with. +rep to you sir!

I am going to try this method starting this weekend. Will report how it goes..

Been running this for a few weeks now, and finding Reddit is driving the most traffic to the site, next to stumpleupon & twitter.

Also created a site for this last week. Let's see how it goes.

marsocal: Have you gotten any sales yet? How much traffic are you getting per day?

Yeah, reddit is a great place to promote these kinds of sites. I've always found that it is harder to submit a lot of pages with reddit than it is with StumbleUpon, but it seems you have found a good way to promote on reddit. Good luck with your site!

Traffic has been minimal. it comes in spurts right after I post a product. Reddit has been locking me out from posting links stating that I posted too many, thus "wait an hour". So far Ive only had 1 sale through amazon which was a $120 item.

I actually saw this website advertised on REDDIT, and I was thinking about making a similar site. But then thought why get distracted

Very, innovative method.

Thanks for taking the time to share with BTW. +Rep!

I sold 4 of those cups that you have on the demo page, and that off my regular site. I thought who in the world would actually buy this type of stuff. Then I saw your post. Ok, thank you for showing me something new and more specifically something that I will start building immediately for myself as well.

Sorry for the necro bump in advanced...
But wow! I can't believe OP made that site, I heard about it before I was even into IM marketing! He must be absolutely banking off of that site!

Hello thank you for this info. I just made my site a few days ago. How do I add tags to posts in Stumbleupon. Just says addpage and nothing else. Thanks
