New Google Update - Where the Hell is Everyone's Professionalism?

I think the amount of negativity surrounding this recent update is warranted. You're going to sit there and tell me this update has improved search results?

Please get off your high horse and come back to reality.
<----This.

I disagree with the OP. Go to WF or something. The recent update is a mess, uproar is well deserved. I continue to work constructively and make tweaks but there's nothing unprofessional about calling a steaming pile of shit a steaming pile of shit.

Like I said today to some random old person I was passing on the street (in reference to SEO): "This is a game. It's a big game. Just remember that. It's a game that my livelihood depends on...but it's still a game."

Didn't we learn anything from Omar on The Wire? He said it all the time, when things would go bad for him or the people he jacked...it's all in the game.

Omar is the man. Screw Confucius. Live by the philosophy of Omar and you are on the right path.

Never reply on one site.Build 6-7 use different linkbuilding techniques. This won't be the last update google does.I feel for those who lost big,it's time to come out the comfort zone again folks.I don't believe this has settled yet.Did I suffer, not much but the thing is all sites got the same treatment. So I am looking at keyword density, onsite stuff more than links.
Look on the bright side, new sites have pretty much as much chance right now as any site.Go get that money back!

This is an update, and if people started doing what they always do after an update everyone would be better off:

1. Get a grip of yourself
2. Test things to get the penalty off
3. Test what works post update

What's different here? Yeah there's a dance included but we've all experienced a dance and some do it on a weekly basis. It's no big deal really. Just takes time and adjusting.

If you want to bitch then bitch, but it would be nice if you could do it elsewhere.

I don't come here to read complaints. I come here to exchange ideas. What has been going on here for the last few days has not been an exchange of ideas.

Its safe to say that the newest algorithm update is a joke, but what the OP is saying is right on the money.

Quit bitching moaning, complaining, and creating crazy outlandish Facebook campaigns against Google that won't ever take any traction. This isn't productive for you or your ultimate goal.

Google WILL realize that they fucked up, its incredibly obvious when you really start looking into the SERPs. Having said that, give it time for the dust to settle and then begin being PROACTIVE in figuring out how to get your rankings back.

Yes, your rankings may have dipped because of the algorithm update, but wasting your time complaining is fucking worthless. Focus on fixing your site, diversifying your traffic mediums, or begin building out a new site.

past few days always when i log in BHW i see on home about 7+ threads whining about updates ! pretty noobish threads
i have sites some infected and some not , instead of open spammy thread complains about updates i made analysis why
sites dropped and why sites still on the same rank ... still collect ideas and info maybe share it here when finish my analysis .....

If you want to bitch then bitch, but it would be nice if you could do it elsewhere.

I don't come here to read complaints. I come here to exchange ideas. What has been going on here for the last few days has not been an exchange of ideas.

op should wake the fuck up and realize you are talking to a group of people that work hard if not harder than you. that and this release has decimated many sites to warrant bitching. if you expect people to stay quite, your in the wrong place.

I hear you, but I think people have the right to voice a little frustration. I think the problem is that a lot of people don't look at it like trying to "beat the system." A lot of us are simply trying to provide a good experience for the people that visit our sites. Of course, we are also trying to profit from that good experience, but that doesn't make us evil webmasters.

People are pissed because this update didn't accomplish anything. Google didn't improve on the overall user experience, and that has us upset, which I think says a lot about some of us. I think if the update actually did get rid of the shitty sites you wouldn't see so many people bitching. It just gets sickening when completely worthless sites now occupy the top spots, while some of our quality sites sit at #48.

I'm not giving up (and I don't think most people are), but that doesn't mean we can't talk (or bitch) about it.

That 'little frustration' is becoming annoying. That's the OP post about and i subscribe to this.

It is annoying 100 of these threads, but if you knew how much money some of us have lost, maybe you would understand. (Though I doubt most were making significant)

I understand that, i have lost too but that doesn't mean i have to open a thread about it. I see that im not alone and try to fix the problem. No offence, but thats my opinion.

There are three kind of people here on BHW.

1) Ones that open separate thread about something that has been discussed hundred times.

2) Ones that open threads about ones who open separate threads about something that has been discussed hundred times

3) Ones who don't give a shit.

3rd category of people sleep better and feel better. So relax, let them continue opening threads, just ignore them.

It is getting incredibly annoying to see all of these immature posts about the new Google update every time I log on to BHW. People are blaming this on Matt Cutts and creating obscene posts cursing the guy. I see people talking about dropping out of SEO, or straying away from Google and onto other search engines. Aren't you guys professionals?

Yes, this update does kind of suck, but this is business. In business, shit happens. A good business man will evaluate the situation and start drafting new plans and implementing them immediately. NO good business man takes a hit and then complains about it being the end of the world on a forum. I come to BHW to learn more and hear about the great finds of others. I do NOT log on here to see a bunch of professionals bitching about a recent hit.

It's embarrassing for BHW as a community to have tons of black hatters posting stuff about their business being completely ruined and their lives being over because of this Google update. We are black hatters. It's our job to remain confident and find the next new way to "beat the system." These posts are regressive and childish.

I GET IT. Your rankings dropped and, consequently, so did your income. Fix it! Any experienced SEO specialist has been hit by a panda update, the sandbox, or something that negatively effects their SERPs. You CAN get out of it. There is always a solution. Luckily, I wasn't hit by this one, but I was hit by the last one. After that, I developed a new SEO plan which is probably what saved me from this newest Panda/Penguin update.

This post may piss some people off, but it had to be said. Nothing ever goes as planned in business as business is a cut throat, sink or swim battle. Are you going to sink or swim?

I agree.

The kind of threads you are talking about are just plain stupid. However, it reveals a lot about the users making those kinds of posts/threads - mainly just how much they lack in SEO and business skills.

Every time time Google rolls out an update that makes changes, you always see a bunch of these people come out of the woodwork to bitch about how much they hate Google and how Google is out to get them etc.

These kinds of people honestly have absolutely no hope of making it in SEO because they are not responsible enough to learn how to do SEO correctly, nor do they hold themselves accountable for their mistakes. They just want to blame someone else for their problems.

I honestly think that the recent changes in Google are a good thing because the separation of the real SEOers from the wannabe SEOers is growing much larger. For so long now, it has been easy for anyone to be an "SEO expert", but I think those days are numbered now.

Google is making it clear that they will only give love to the ones that truly understand and implement quality SEO practices, and this opens up A LOT of opportunities if you are one of those people.

And before anyone says anything...I am not saying SEO is dead. I am not saying BH methods are dead. I am not saying automation tools are dead. All of those things have a time and place in SEO in my honest opinion, but if you don't understand the core of SEO and how to use it effectively without those things, then it's nearly impossible to excel with them.

Yes I do agree with the new threads, but if it's all in one thread, I don't see a problem with that.
I was sick of the new threads after the second one already.

I am personally frustrated because there is no reason for these changes to my sites. I can see an update that devalues profile links, or spun content, or some other black hat technique, but I have dozens of sites effected, I don't even want to look right now, probably over 50. They all had unique content, and a good number of pages. There's absolutely no reason for those sites to drop a ranking, nevermind 100, or 500 spots. We're talking about two years worth of work done on these sites to get them to where they were, and whiped out in the blink of an eye. Now my money site increased, which is great and I can count on that, but how many out there can't say the same? Someone out there was making $5,000/month, has a mortgage, car payment, and all the suddent it drops to $1,000/month.

the funny thing in this thread one of the mods thanked op in his op ! so why you don't delete/close spammy and noobish
threads about last G updates ?

Without doubt I am exactly what the OP has complained about. I swore about Matt Cu'ts and I bitched and whined like a 7 year old yesterday and the day before... Today I remember I'm near on 50 years old and I sat down and made some adjustments. Yes I'm confused, bitter, scared and thoroughly fucked off. Do I regret calling Matt a cunt or being totally abusive. Hell no..!! and I'd do it again tomorrow. But I feel better now for having vented my frustrations. That's part of the game, part of being in a forum where folk can say what the fuck they want within reason. Why hold it all in like some peaky lil girl not wanting to lose her virginity but secretly craving a fuck!

I don't really care about google. I do care that that the world is tough and I'm running out of time to make something of myself. I care that my estranged kids won't contact me because I'm the daddy with bugger all money. I do care that owe more than I can anticipate earning in the next 50 years if I could live that long, which I wouldn't fucking want. So yea.... I let rip far more than I should have and I enjoyed letting out that much steam because it made feel as relieved as any constipated git would feel after a 10 day bout of shitlessness. So perhaps, stating that fuckers like me shouldn't be voicing our opinions should be saved for somewhere a little more upmarket and posh... maybe a place where superstars meet up for a cuppa tea...

I think I'm going to puke. Next you're going to tell me "natural" link-building and Big Foot actually exists.

I've been playing the game since 1995 and SEO is like the sand - it shifts every time the wind blows. For someone to come into BHW and sound like a Google shill is sickening. We can get this nonsense on plenty of other forums. If you think for a second Google can't be fooled you're dead wrong. I don't subscribe to shit Google says and I've been a long time member of Google's WM forum. I pop up there once a month or so to see what I missed and hear the same old BS attacks on poor webmasters by pompous K-I-As that couldn't rank a top site if their life depended on it.

People that know me know I have all the tools. I'm seriously invested in SEO with more resources than anyone I know playing the game. I've not stopped playing the game for a second but I know BS when I see it. I know when my MFA's that have been sitting around doing nothing for 2 years without any SEO suddenly start banking and indexing above my quality sites that something is seriously FU'd.

I have enough lines in the water to weather about any storm but I still sympathize with people just getting in the game that don't have as many lines and get kicked in the dirt through no fault of their own. I don't think I've lost a dime through this whole update but I've got shit sites banking and good sites dropping.

If you're so confident you have a rock solid system then post some of your sites and lets see if they're really untouchable because of your rock solid seo tactics. You and I both know you're a sitting duck if someone wants to take your sites out at the moment.

My sites are climbing faster than they have in years (the one's that took a hit last week) but not because of any SEO work on those websites. I'm just clearing the brush on the road to #1 as Google has opened the door and said have at it boys. Now that's good SEO; seeing what works and not listening to the BS by wannabe SEO K-I-As. Follow your sound SEO tactics and you'll find your dick in the sand one of these days.

JMHO

The core of SEO can change according to what G wants. It's like having a game of basketball and being pretty good at it, you know the core skills in basketball, but suddenly G changes the sport to skeet shooting or some shit, something totally different and now you are fucked. So every time you say "core SEO skills" and crap like that you're just making no sense. Luckily, thank god, only one or two of my sites got hit, but I still fundamentally disagree with and dislike Google and the unfair monopoly they have on search. It doesn't mean that I am shit at getting my sites up in the search engines, my dissent simply means that I don't agree with what Google does to small businesses. We are allowed to complain about Google as much as we like and I am surprised the OP got so many thanks for his pretty gay post that would not look out of place on WF. Please direct me to something you have posted which tells us how to be as good an SEO as you Yuki because I have read a couple of your threads and it just said the usual, bookmarking, article links and other 2009 stuff. Since you are the master please make a thread on what YOU think of SEO post April 2012, if you so greatly want a change from people calling Matt Cunts Matt Cunts. In the meantime, I will continue to call Matt Cunts Matt Cunts, if you don't mind.

I don't like the panic of this update and the shitty changes, but I do like the anger boiling up at this massive corporation. The threads ripping on Matt Cunts and how retarded Google is sometimes please me greatly. This is black hat world, for god's sake let's have some life in here, and let us continue with the aggressive spamming until our processors explode.

LBrown, I like discussion too, but to be honest, all these threads talking about the update are nothing more than pure speculation.
