New Google Update - Where the Hell is Everyone's Professionalism?

In this business, you gotta learn to roll with the punches, even the ones that knock you on your ass. You just have to learn to adapt and roll with it. The OP is right. Bitching and moaning never accomplishes anything except kill time. Time that is better spent finding a way back to the top!

This is a challenge to IMers everywhere. Not just BHW. You have to decide: Are you up for it? I know I am. Let's roll!

Keep drinking the kool-aid, ohh wait I think I just saw a comet put your shoes on.

While I understand that there are some pissed off people but if you are being legit. You would have nothing to worry about. My sites were okay because I knew I was okay because I just build links naturally & add content, I know people always want a quick way out but honestly? What's it worth in the long run?

Wrong, Wrong, Wrong!

My most legit site with the best content of all my sites and lots of social signals got crushed. It had a very diverse link profile and is a 12 year old domain. This was not a blackhat site. I purchased links for it but many of my high quality links were from high quality unique content.

The point I think you are missing is that Google doesn't give a flying F**k about people, hence no way to contact them. They don't care if they throw out algorithm changes and it drives people out of business. Legit businesses. Do you know how long Google places was jacked up? Probably still is but I just haven't been following it. There were endless complaints about how many people had their places rankings and pages disappear and take months for it to return.

People don't like spending a lot of time and money on something only to have some big company with their computer scripted algorithm come along and say oh well sorry but I guess you're shit out of luck. Now go away. Bottom line is they just don't give a shit how many people they negatively effect.

Their motto is let's kill 1000 legit businesses so we can try and get rid of one spam site. Oh and by the way we moved another spam site into your place...sorry...now move along.

Apparently it is professional to have absolutely no empathy for fellow forum members who suffered losses and no sympathy for their feelings but instead call them unprofessional for not just getting on with it like good robots.

I think the OP was trying to show tough love. Encouraging others to adapt to the changes. The message may be getting mis-interpreted however. I see the intention, understand, and agree.

I like updates like these, they cleanse away any noobs or people that don't belong seriously in the ranking game.

The best part is my competitors are other businesses that relied on hiring "SEOs" who would go out and buy services and links on blogposts... and now they are all gone... I love it!

..and how many times will i have to bare these "don't be sad about google update/you are unprofessional when you talk about your sorrow " type of threads?

Just kidding, i have to be cynical as a marketer as it provides potential clients :D

If you'd like to semantically twist my statement, be my guest. This situation is not about empathy.
Posting a thread complaining about your loss on a forum is hardly considered "not just getting on with it like good robots."

I think highly of my fellow black hatters and I was shocked at the passiveness of the responses I have seen. WE NEED TO MOVE FORWARD.

You are complaining about being annoyed with complaining posts. They are complaining because they lost money or years of hard work. I know which complaint is more annoying to me.

Ya I'm fucking pissed, yes I'll move on and adapt. But don't give me that tough love BS, a lot of work, effort, money and research went into improving sites for people only to get crushed by a monopoly with a biased towards big brands. Ya I'm fucking pissed and ya I want everyone to move on from google as much as possible. I'm tired of seeing post by people like you, you don't like it that we lost a ton of money and effort then don't read the shit. Stop whining about our bitching. Keep sucking off google and provide "value" and see how far that gets you.

And you are fully entitled to that opinion. I'm not trying to complain, but merely return everyone to the professional standard that should be held by all internet marketers. In no way is it my goal to offend anyone. However, this is the first (or one of the first) posts questioning the necessity of complaining about this update whereas there are an excessive amount of "complaint" threads.

How exactly does one "suck off" Google? And what are the effects on rankings?

I dont feel like reading this long post but I will adapt to this new google algo... I will spam the shit out of my old backlinks..... Xrumer/scrapebox and amr... Iam sure most will do the same lets see 400-1000 xrumer posts per minute times shitload of other bhw users times 24 hours will = to how much spam and pissed forum admins??? well you do the math

google fucked would you rather have spam in one spot (private networks) or all over internet?

I don't see anything wrong with people venting. I could care less if they make 1,000 threads venting. This isn't my forum. It belongs to the community and what the community wants to do, within the rules, is their business. As long as they're not breaking the rules let them be and mind your own damn business. Who are you to dictate professionalism to anyone? If BHW isn't professional enough for you then don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Someone mentioned Bill Gates - you've got to be fukin kidding me. Study his history before sounding so stupid. I've been in the computer business 23 years this year. I know his history and remember all the stealing this guy did in the early years. I think he's been sued by every JV he ever partnered with. He would have been on the shitlist about 100 times if this forum was around in 1989-1999 and he with all his JVs were members. Mentioning professionalism and Bill Gates in the same sentence is nothing but ignorant.

Discussion and brainstorming is what leads to positive action at times. If you have all the frickin answers then start dishing them out. Don't jump on your pedestal and tell everyone that just got raped to get over it, move on and by God be professional about it. Let them tell their stories, share their thoughts, laugh a bit and distract them from the reality they got screwed without as much as a kiss. Time heals and so does sharing your problems with people suffering the same fate. People don't feel like they're the only ones and learn from others in discussions.

I guess you've never been in an support group for addictions but this is how it works. Sit in on an AA meeting some day and listen to everyone share their carbon copy stories of addictions. If you've heard one you've heard them all. Those meetings work because it reinforces people that they aren't unique and their problems aren't unique. They support each other and work through the issues. Are all the stories practically all the same? Damn right they are. Nobody walks into the room and says stfu we've all heard this shit before.

If you don't want to be in the support rooms then quit clicking on the threads. Don't sit on your pompous ass and tell everyone to stfu and be professional. Last time I checked this wasn't your forum. If you find someone that violates the rules then report it. Don't dictate what people should say and what they shouldn't. Then maybe people wouldn't return the favor!

Now act professional whatever the hell that means. If it means act like Bill Gates then I need a JV making good money with a secret method that is willing to share that method with me for cash and then I don't pay him and use the method for myself calling it my own. That is the Bill Gates professional I know..

Yes you love it now until one of your competitor takes aim at YOU, because now for $5 anyone can knock you out of the game, even if you played by the rules.

Thats why you have more than a few sites... I am closely approaching the 300 barrier now.

When I hit a niche, I do atleast 5 sites per and these aren't your shitty MNS variety.
