OP: I didn't see any mention of the tools you are using with this case study (correct me if I missed that part). It doesn't look like this is all being done manually, but I guess I could be wrong. It would be helpful if you included that in your posts...thanks for the great thread!

For Site B, I am running a scrapebox blast on all the 1102 created backlinks. So far, I have blasted over 500K comments to this urls. Note this are the successful posts only, I didnt bother to check if scrapebox found them or not. But whatever the situation is, we will probably have about 50% of the links as live links.

Are the 1k baclinks all web 2.0 or a mix of other buffer pages if so what kind and ur estimate of percentage breakdown if you don't mind

I am not sure of the exact percentages, but here is an estimate :

50% Web 2.0 Properties
30% Social Bookmarking/News site
20% Forum Profiles


All linked together randomly...

Here is some update on the progress made so far :

Rankings

Site A :

Keyword 1 :

Still Not in Top 1000.


Keyword 2 :

These keyword was not in top 300 when we started promotions. Current ranking screenshot attached.

Site B :

Site was formely dancing between #50 and #80. Now, due to the amount of backlinks, keyword is dancing around a lot. Now, 2 inner pages are showing up for the target keyword. I will be expecting the homepage to come out stronger with higher rankings once the links settle in enough. Screen Shot attached.

Backlinks :

Site A:

As for the backlinks, Site A has gained a lot of backlinks. Site Explorer has picked up almost 1000 Fresh backlinks. Total backlinks on Explorer is now 1,172 as opposed the 85 links showing up in the beginning. Screenshot attached.

Site B :

Site B is also showing some new backlinks though not as much as site A. Backlink has jumped from 1600+ to 1821. This site is showing less fresh links than Site A, but we will see. Screenshot attached.
