Long story short, I did a ton of reading on AM a couple years back and never decided to do anything with it, because I had no start-up cash to make it a bit easier. Now, I have about 5 grand put away to invest into it. Problem is, now I have no idea what's popular or what is a solid method and/or programs to use if you have a decent amount of start-up cash. I realize $5,000 probably isn't a lot to some of you, but it's a good amount to save up for blue collar folk.

In any case, without rambling any longer, my question is this; What is the safest bet to invest my 5k into as to maximize my ROI? I'm not looking to make $1,000/day, I'm realistic... but at the same time, I am definitely not looking to lose money, so where would be a good place to start? I'm open to all ideas, and all of them will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Stephanie

Please fille me in too with the ideas I too would like to make $1k daily

ok I'll take a stab...its not just $, you have to put in the sweat/blood/tears part too. Join some affiliate & CPA networks, find offers/products you want to promote. Create content to help sell them (blogs, autoblogs, pre-sales pitch, etc.). Start with a single niche, mid-level competitive. Don't spend over $100 creating the content. Do some keyword research etc. Now you need to SEO it. Research the tools you need to do the job. If you want power tools, maybe look at xrumer, and a few others. Alternatively, pay people to do xrumer blasts for you. Rinse & repeat, see which offers convert well. Those ones pounce on them, build them out with more content, seo them more as well. You'll want a dedicated server to run xrumer, although you can actually run it at home if you have decent bandwidth. Try not to spend that much at first, but don't be afraid to spend for things that really help (a few tools, maybe a designer or someone to create content for you, etc.).

Feel free to PM if you have any specific questions/concerns, and good luck!

I wouldn't post questions like this on BHW. No offense to any members here, but if you are serious about building a business, this isn't the place to get advice.

No offense taken, I appreciate you didn't try to name-call. But aren't forums the type of place to ask for advice and help eachother out? Or is it forbidden to help folks out these days?

You don't know how much I appreciate your help! Not sure why everyone seems so hostile, but thank you so much for your insight, I really mean it. :)

Adsense is never a bad place to start and some people make great cake with it. It is at least an almost guaranteed return on investment. Hostin+domain+backlinking as investment it`s easy to make that back in a year with adsense.

Try reading the fatcat blueprint in the downloads section this gives a great overview of adsense.

I am a noob here myself but I would spend as little of the 5k as possible. If you buy anything buy hosting,a few domains, scrapebox and senuke. some people will tell you to buy xrumer but the learning curve on it is so high it will be cheaper for you to by focused xrumer blasts than buying it setting up a server and trying to learn it.

Depends on how intelligent you are, and how much experience you have in Internet Marketing.

What I can say for sure is, that if I would have started IM without any idea, and 5k I would have lost all. You need to know what to buy, and what now.

But I will give you some way's you can go with:
- Buy a good website which is already making money, and make it better.
- Learn all the A's and O's about AdWords and/or PPV.

Forget the idea, that you can get rich quick. It takes time, and patiente.

You'll probably get a lot of abusive responses, but I've heard worse first posts and it is the Christmas holidays :)

First up, there's no "safe" way to invest online. If losing that $5k is going to bankrupt you, then I'd advise you to stick to the 9-5 and forget it.

I also wouldn't even consider investing $5k all in one go, as you'll most probably lose it all (I'm speaking from experience). You do have a lot of options with that much cash, but it's very easy to burn through it if you don't know what you are doing.

I would take $500 and get yourself a decent setup. The safest way to go is probably whitehat sites earning with Adsense/Cpa/Amazon. These won't make you millions overnight, but are quite safe and should grow into a nice income stream. Put the $4500 in a savings account until you need to scale up.

I'm not a big fan of tools (in fact, the only one I own is Scrapebox) so I would just spend it on good old fashioned domains and hosting.

Get yourself a shared hosting account over at Hostgator (there are others, but I still use them for some of my WH sites) and then you have a choice:

- Build your own sites from scratch
- Pay someone to build your sites
- Buy something established

If you want some tips on buying sites, then head over to the site flipping section. My post here should be a good start: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/site-flipping/171475-site-flipping-101-a.html

If you want to outsource sites and get them built, check out the services section here. Macdonjo has a thread going and his micro-niche sites are pretty good :)

If you want to build them from scratch, then have a browse of the forum and learn keyword research, some basic HTML/php, Adsense optimisation and basic SEO.

$500 should get you a few semi-established sites, about 10 micro-niche sites or 50 sites if you make them yourself. I'd also recommend Scrapebox - it's a pretty handy noob-friendly SEO tool.

Hopefully that makes sense, it's quite late here so I probably started rambling so let me know if you have questions :)

Also, I just want to clarify, I don't expect it to be easy. I understand it takes work. Believe me, I worked at fast food for awhile, I know what slaving is. I don't have a problem working for it. My main point was now that I have some money saved to invest into it, I would assume it may be a little bit easier and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. That's all.

Buy cheap websites, hire freelancers to build backlinks, flip the site for 5-7 times the monthly income. Check out the download section, it has a lot on site flipping.

Many of you have responded now and I definitely thank you all for taking the time to help out. I will definitely try to return the favor when I learn more, for others.

Xrummer is dead, so is scrapebox. Outsourcing is the key these days. Better hire someone who can post manual comments on high pr quality blogs and not random blogs. God bless xrummer users.

well PPC is the fastest way to make decent money BUT you are going to lose a lot in testing. You may spend 2k before finding something that works. It just depends really on how lucky you get.

OP, pick your own route. There are so many paths to making money online and everything can work.
